The field survey was conducted from December, 2015 to May, 2016 to explore the Assamese Macaque general behavior and vegetation associated with their habitats. Total area of 104.70 km2 was surveyed, vegetation analysis was done by random quadrates sampling method and behavioral data were collected by scan sampling method. A total of 47 individuals of Assamese Macaques (Macaca assamensis) were counted in four different troops. Total of 2240 scan samples were recorded from the four different troops during this study period the scan samples revealed that foraging was 47%, moving 28%, resting 14% and grooming 11%. -

Public Disclosure Authorized JV with Group of Engineer’s Consortium (P) Ltd., and Udaya Consultancy (P) Ltd.Kathmandu April 2020 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Introduction The Government of Nepal (GoN) has requested the World Bank (WB) to support the improvements of existing roads that are of vital importance to the country’s economy and regional connectivity through the proposed Strategic Road Connectivity and Trade Improvement Project (SRCTIP). The project has four components: (1) Trade Facilitation; (2) Regional Road Connectivity; (3) Institutional Strengthening; and (4) Contingency Emergency Response. Under the second component, this project will carry out the following activities: (a) Improvement of the existing 2-lane Nagdhunga-Naubise-Mugling (NNM) Road; (94.7 km on the pivotal north-south trade corridor connecting Kathmandu and Birgunj) to a 2-lane with 1 m paved shoulders, and (b) Upgrading of the Kamala-Dhalkebar-Pathlaiya (KDP) Road of the Mahendra Highway (East West Highway) from 2-lane to 4-lane. An Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) was undertaken during the detailed design phase of the NNM Road to assess the environmental and social risks and impacts of the NNM Road before execution of the project in accordance with the Government of Nepal’s (GoN) requirements and the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework (ESF). -

ARTICLE DETAILS ABSTRACT Article History: Capitals for agricultural sustainability include human, physical, natural, financial and social aspects present in agroecosystem. The status about these capitals provide base for sustainability in agriculture. In this regard, Received 18 January 2021 a descriptive research was done to record the status of capital assets needed for agricultural sustainability in Accepted 23 February 2021 Gangajamuna Rural Municipality of Dhading district. The study was based on primary data collected through Available online 1 March 2021 structured questionnaire based on simple random sampling technique from 57 farming-based household 7 samples during April, 2018. The study provided an overview on status of capital assets which must be taken into consideration for paradigm shift in current set of agricultural practices for achieving agricultural sustainability. The status of human, physical and financial capitals were poor in comparison to nature and social capitals. -

It works in coordination with DDRC, related district government offices, like minded organizations, local communities and churches in Gorkha. The organization has been focusing on rehabilitation, reconstruction, livelihood & health support, disaster preparedness and strengthening local community together with the government bodies and local community. Some of the specific works of this organization are as follows: 1: Reconstructions of Health Post Buildings in Aappipal, Ghairung, Bhumlichowk & Ghyalchowk Except Aappipal healthpost, other health post reconstruction works has been completed and in the process on handover program to the local community within the 1st week of October, 2016 with necessary equipments and furnishing. The representatives of MoHP & DHO were also involved during the process of reconstruction. From the expert side, the technical consultant visited to healthpost construction site for monitoring and supervision of the constructional work. 2: Reconstruction of VDC building Shreentahkot VDC building reconstructions work has been started from 5th of Asoj, 2073. The reconstruction work was started formally by doing laystone foundation of the VDC building. -
