St Mary’s, Sat 21st November 7pm in St John’s Church, flower arranging demonstration by Sampford Spiney will be holding its ever popular Christmas Extravaganza again Nadia of Flowers Going Green. Sat 19th December Members of Meavy Amateur Dramatics (MAD) will be performing an hour-long reading, in period costume, of A Christmas Carol by Thurs 26th November 7pm Midweek service at St Leonard’s, Sheepstor, followed Charles Dickens, adapted by Sam Regan de Bere. The performance will take by a meal/drink at the Burrator Inn place in the wonderfully atmospheric setting of St Peter’s Church Meavy at 6.30pm. Doors will open at 6.00pm and light refreshments, including mulled 28th November – 6th December Nativity Scene Festival to be held at St John’s wine, will be available through a donation.
