(Pembimbing : Suyono dan Ninik Umi Hartanti ) Ikan mas koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi dan mudah untuk dipelihara. Ikan ini mempunyai ukuran yang besar dan pertumbuhan yang cepat serta bentuk dan warna tubuh menarik. Hal tersebut menjadikan ikan koi sebagai komoditi utama ikan hias termasuk di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui Pemberian Probiotik pada Media dan Pakan dengan Dosis yang Berbeda terhadap Pertumbuhan Benih Ikan Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus ). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Terdiri dari 3 perlakuan 1 kontrol dengan 3 ulangan : A (pemberian probiotik pada media dan pakan dengan dosis 1ml/1 pada media dan 10ml/1 kg pada pakan setiap hari), B (pemberian probiotik pada media dan pakan dengan dosis 2ml/l pada media dan 20ml/1 kg pada pakan setiap 3 hari), C (pemberian probiotik pada media dan pakan dengan dosis 4 ml/1 l pada media dan 30ml/1 kg pada pakan setiap 5 hari) Sampel yang akan digunakan berjumlah 120 ekor dengan kepadatan 1 ekor/liter selama 28 hari. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu melalui percobaan dengan melakukan pengumpulan data pertumbuhan dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nyata antar perlakuan pada bobot ikan koi terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan B (pemberian probiotik pada media dan pakan dengan dosis 2ml/l pada media dan 20ml/1 kg pada pakan setiap 3 hari) dengan hasil pertumbuhan bobot mutlak sebesar 2.03 gram, panjang mutlak 5,6 cm dan kelangsungan hidup 80%. Effect of Probiotics in Media and Feed with Different Doses on the Growth of Koi Fish ( Cyprinus rubrofuscus ) Seeds. (Advisors: Suyono and Ninik Umi Hartanti) Koi carp ( Cyprinus rubrofuscus ) is a type of fish that has high economic value and is easy to maintain. This fish has a large size and fast growth as well as an attractive body shape and color. This makes koi fish the main commodity of ornamental fish, including in Indonesia. The aim of this study was to determine the Probiotic Administration in Media and Feed with Different Doses on the Growth of Koi Fish (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) seeds. The method used in this study is the experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD). Consisting of 3 treatments 1 control with 3 replications: A (giving probiotics to the media and feed at a dose of 1ml / 1 in the media and 10ml / 1 kg in the feed every day), B (giving probiotics to the media and feed at a dose of 2ml / l at media and 20ml / 1 kg in feed every 3 days), C (giving probiotics to the media and feed at a dose of 4 ml / 1 l in the media and 30ml / 1 kg in feed every 5 days) The sample to be used is 120 with a density 1 head / liter for 28 days. The technique used is through experiments by collecting data on growth and survival rates. Based on the results of the research that had been done, results showed that there were significant differences between the treatments on the growth of the best koi fish, namely the B treatment (giving probiotics to media and feed at a dose of 2ml / l on the media and 20ml / 1 kg in the feed every 3 days) with an absolute weight growth of 2.03 grams, an absolute length of 5.6 cm and a survival rate of 80%. The aim of the work was to conduct a comparative analysis of Amur carp (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) produced from fresh and defrosted sperm, which was cryopreserved for 24 years, based on the polymorphism of microsatellite loci and to study the heterogeneity of these groups. The genetic structure of carp produced from the defrosted sperm represented a range of amplicons of local stocks. Specific alleles occurred at MFW 6 and MFW 31 loci, which were not observed in the local carp group. This indicates a higher level of polymorphism, which was also confirmed by the higher Shannon biodiversity index at these loci (I = 1.727 in the cryo-carp group vs I = 1.383 in the local carp group). The mean number of alleles per locus (Na) and the effective number of alleles per locus (Ne) was higher in the cryo-carp group (Na = 7.25 and Ne = 5.2) compared to the local carp group (Na = 5.75 and Ne = 3.9). The genetic variability was distributed by 7.7% (Fst = 0.077) between the studied carp groups. The microsatellite markers used were found to be highly informative (average PIC = 0.678), and therefore effective for further use in monitoring the changes in the gene pool of cyprinids under the effect of cryopreservation.

Schyzocotyle acheilognathi has been reported from eastern coastal areas of Australia, but has not been previously reported in Western Australia (WA). Methods During a control program for invasive freshwater shes in south-western WA, a region with a unique and highly endangered freshwater sh fauna, tapeworms identied as S. acheilognathi from their distinctive scolex morphology were found at a prevalence of 3.3% in goldsh (Carassius auratus), 37.0% in koi carp (Cyprinus carpio haematopterus), and 65.0% in eastern mosquitosh (Gambusia holbrooki). For molecular conrmation, the 18S rRNA gene was targeted at hypervariable region V4 using conventional PCR and Sanger sequencing.

Currently, little is known about C. chinensis in North America. My thesis objectives were to: (1) synthesize relevant literature and confirm whether C. chinensis should be considered invasive in North America, (2) determine the known species occurrence in continental North America highlighting reporting gaps, and (3) create a species distribution model for C. chinensis in the Maritimes. The literature review indicated that C. chinensis should be considered invasive in North America. The largest number of reported occurrences were in southern Ontario and northern US along the Great Lakes with the lowest in the Maritimes, the Prairies, Quebec, and near Lake Superior. Finally, a random forest model was developed to predict C. chinensis distribution in Nova Scotia, with highest probable occurrence in the Halifax-area, the New Brunswick-Nova Scotia border, and Cape Breton.
