Map Information Heavy rainfall during the month of June flooded more than 28000 households in Guyana. The high water registered due to severe rainfalls either destroyed homes, leaving livestock and domestic animals in distress or farmlands inundated, resulting in crop loss and food insecurity.

The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Upper Mazaruni (Guyana). The Rest of thematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automatic approach. The scale of analysis is 1:50000. The estimated geometric accuracy (RMSE) is 20 Region 7 m or better, from native positional accuracy of the background satellite image. The minimum mapping unit (MMU) is 2500 sq m . 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 2
