SCOTTISH CAT CLUB SHOW 5 TH DECEMBER 2015 JUDGE – HELEN MARRIOTT-POWER An extremely wet weekend with hazardous driving conditions, many thanks to my super friends for their hospitality en route to break the awful journey. An enjoyable day with some lovely cats at the West of Scotland Cat Club Show. Many thanks to Heather and Richard for the invitation to judge. Also many thanks to Ian Thompson for stewarding for me, I look forward to the next time.

AC COLOURPOINTED/MITTED RAGDOLL NEUTER BOB GREENING'S GRPR RAGKITTYCATS MAXIMILLION RAG n 21 MN 4.10.12 Lovely expression to this three plus years old boy. Broad head with flat plane of good width between the ears. Rounded muzzle, level bite and good depth chin. In profile medium length nose with gentle dip, then straight line to tip. Ears are set wide apart with slight forward tilt, medium to large in size, rounded at tips with neat tufts and lightly furnished. Nice shape to large, very slightly oblique, well opened eyes set well apart but I would prefer a more intense blue to the colour. Long, solid body with good muscle tone, good breadth to chest and short, heavy set neck. Well boned, proportionate length legs and large, rounded and tufted paws. Fairly long tail tapers slightly to tip with bushy appearance to fur. Dense coat of good length and silky texture. Full ruff and knickerbockers. Seal Tabby Point Colourpointed Ragdoll of beige body colour showing some shading which tones with the deep seal brown points of ears with thumb prints, tabby facial markings with ‘M’ on face and tracings across cheeks, spots on whisker pads and pale spectacles. Seal brown broken stripes on legs, deep seal brown paws, brown down top of tail with faint rings and finishing with a brown tip. Nice natured. 1 PC GRAHAM'S CH MYDOLLS CHOCOLATE TRIUMPH RAG b MN 3.12.11 Well dressed four years old boy. Good width head with flattish plane and good width between ears. I would prefer a little more width at cheeks. Rounded muzzle, level bite and fair depth chin. In profile gentle dip, nose is a trifle long and rounds towards tip. Ears set wide apart with slight forward tilt, medium in size, rounded at tips and lightly furnished. Large, slightly oblique, well opened eyes set well apart and medium blue in colour. Body is long and muscular with broad chest and short, heavy set neck. Good bone to medium length legs and large, rounded and tufted paws. Long bushy tail to balance body, tapers slightly to tip. Coat still of seasonal length and growing out, fairly dense and silky in texture. Some ruff and knickerbockers. Chocolate Colourpointed Ragdoll of warm toned, medium to darker chocolate points of mask and ears, marginally paler paws and tail. Ivory body colour showing minimal shading. Nice natured. DOMINANT TORTOISESHELL ADULT BOB PROUT'S OS&IGRCH FERGAN GOODNIGHT KISS BRI f 10.10.10 Well balanced five years old lady. Lovely round face, broad head and full cheeks with very good breadth to skull and good rounded top of head of good width between medium sized ears which are set far apart to follow the outer contours of the head, wide at base and rounded at tips. Nice profile with rounded brow, medium nose break and fairly short, straight nose. Level bite and fair depth chin. Deep golden colour to fairly well open eyes set wide apart, I would prefer just slightly larger for perfection. Good size and weight to cobby body with good muscle tone, short level back, low on legs, broad chest and rump. Strong, short, well boned legs and large, rounded paws. Medium length, thick tail is thicker at base and rounded at tip. Coat is fairly short, very good density and fairy crisp in texture. Tortoiseshell British with good contrast of mostly well mingled black with bright shades of red. Nice natured. SELKIRK REX KITTEN 1 & BOB FARRER'S NOONTIDE EASTER PARADE SRL d 11 MN 6.4.15 Red Shaded Selkirk Rex Longhair boy of eight months of age. Round underlying bone structure to broad, round head which has full cheeks. Head is set on a short thick neck. Rounded forehead, slightly strong nose break and short, broad, straight nose with minimal downward slant at present. Medium width to muzzle with well padded whisker pads. Level bite but slightly shallow chin. Medium sized ears, broad at base and set well apart. Large, round, well open eyes set wide apart, golden in colour. Going to be a big boy, excellent size and weight to cobby body giving a rectangular appearance with equally broad shoulders and rump. Well boned, medium length legs and large rounded paws with tufts between the toes. Medium length tail is thicker at base and has a rounded tip but with bushy appearance at present rather than plumy curls. Semi-longhair coat is thick and dense, well developed length and standing out from the body in loose individual curls with a soft, plush feel to them. Nice ruff to side of face developing. Lovely temperament.

Medium to longer length body with proportionate length, well boned legs and oval paws. Good length, well shaped tail feels tense at tip. Coat is fairly short and close lying and of excellent texture. Brown Ticked Tabby Asian with burmese colour restriction has golden ground colour which greys at roots but excellent ticking in very deep brown. Clear ‘M’ on face, pencil lines on cheeks, thumb prints on ears and faint bars on legs. Very good width to gently rounded top of head between well set and shaped large ears. In profile flattening to brow, good nose break, nose a bit long and has a slight bump Level bite and good depth level chin. Good full shape to bottom line of green eyes but straight across top line, well set. Not very happy today. LAPERM NEUTER BOB EKANGER'S GRCH & GRPR CLOUDBORN TOOPOSH TOPUSH LPL b 24 FN 23.4.11 Chocolate Spotted Longhair LaPerm lady of four and a half years of age. Nice head has slightly rounded, gentle contours to a modified wedge with full, rounded whisker pads. In profile gentle curve over top and back of head, flat plane to forehead, slight curve between eyes, gentle break then broad, straight nose to tip. Slightly broad muzzle, fair depth chin, level bite and moderate whisker break. Medium sized ears, slightly flared and cupped, set to follow the contours of the wedge, well furnished with tufts at tips and long, curled ear muffs. Medium large, almond shaped, yellow eyes set moderately far apart and slightly slanted towards the ears. Medium build to solid body of good weight. Medium length, elegant legs and rounded paws. Good tail to balance body, thicker at base and tapering to tip and plume to fur. Nice coat of fairly soft texture, good length developing from seasonal change and a light curls. Long, curled whiskers. Sweet natured. CHOCOLATE BURMESE ADULT BOB GILES'S CH SILKY MAJESTY QUINTESSENTIAL BUR b M 25.9.14 Fourteen months old young male of very good size and weight to medium length body with good muscle tone. Proportionate length shapely legs and oval paws. Well shaped tail needs a fraction more length to balance body and feels tense at tip. Coat is a trifle long but close lying and of good texture. Chocolate Burmese of warm toned, medium to darker chocolate with darker contrast masking to face and ears. Good width to gently rounded top of head between well set and shaped ears of goodly size. In profile rounding to brow, good nose break, nose a bit long but straight. Level bite and fair depth chin. Yellow eyes of good shape, well set but I would prefer them a touch larger for perfection. Lovely temperament. 1CC VERLANDER'S HIGHLANDER SCHEHERAZADE BUR b F 30.8.14 Good size and weight to this fifteen months old girl. Medium length and build to body with proportionate length, shapely legs and neat oval paws. Well shaped tail needs a fraction more length to balance body. Coat is a trifle long but close lying and of very good texture. Chocolate Burmese of warm toned pale to medium chocolate with darker contrast masking to face, ears, tail and feet. Faint rings on tail. Good width to gently rounded top of head between well set and shaped ears of goodly size. In profile gentle rounding to brow, fairly good nose break, nose a bit long but straight. Untidy bite, good depth, level chin. Good size and shape to well set eyes, yellow colour to outer edge but green at centre. Sweet natured. BLUE POINT KITTEN 1 & BOB CARTER'S FLUTTERBY HARLEY QUINN SIA a F 30.7.15 Delightful little Blue Point Siamese girl, just old enough to be out at four months of age. Long, balanced wedge but narrowing lines of wedge show teething pinch at present. Fine muzzle, level bite but shallow chin. Large ears are wide at base and set to follow the lines of the wedge. Pleasing line to profile with line to tip only showing a very minimal dip. Lovely intense deep blue colour to eyes of oriental shape, set well apart but I would prefer more of an oriental slant to the set. Good size and weight to long, elegant, firm body with proportionate long, slim legs and neat oval paws. Gently tapering tail needs a fraction more length to balance body length. Coat is a trifle long particularly down the spine but close lying. I would prefer a finer texture. Glacial white body colour showing slight shading on body down back to tail. TORTIE POINT KITTEN 1 & BOB SAMPHIER'S ENIGMATIC RIVERDANCE SIA h F 28.4.15 Chocolate Tortie Point Siamese girl of seven months of age. Nicely balanced long wedge with narrowing lines towards fine muzzle just showing a slight pinch. Good width to top of head between large ears, wide at bases and nice alignment with lines of the wedge. In profile slight flattening to forehead but rounding off at brow to perfectly straight line to tip. Level bite and fair depth, slightly receding chin, is possibly still teething at the back. Slightly full shape to eyes looked more oriental in shape and set when relaxed in pen, possibly a bit overawed by the show so giving her a wide eyed look. Good deep blue colour. Very good size and weight to long, elegant body with a good firm feel. Proportionate long, slender legs and oval paws which she still needs to grow into. Long, fine, tapering tail balances body length. Coat is fairly short and close lying just slightly longer down the spine line but lovely fine texture overall. Lovely pale ivory body colour with only a minimal hint of tonal shading at base of spine. Points of mask, ears tail and feet of slightly dark but warm toned chocolate mingled with bright shades of red on ears and mask, paler shades of red on tail and feet. Nicely mingled random colours to all points. Faint rings on tail. Super temperament. 2 SAMPHIER'S ENIGMATIC UNFORGETABLE SIA k F 28.4.15 Seven months old Caramel Tortie point Siamese girl. Longish wedge with fair width to top, not quite balanced with length. Narrowing lines to fine muzzle show slight pinch at jaw hinge. Large ears fairly well set could be slightly wider at bases. Pleasing line to profile with straight line to tip. Level bite but slightly shallow, receding chin. Oriental shaped eyes are spaced well apart but I would prefer more of an oriental slant and a trifle larger. Lovely deep blue colour. Medium build to long, elegant body of good weight and firm feel. Long, slim legs to balance body and neat oval paws. Nicely fine tapering tail needs a fraction more length to balance body length. Coat is a trifle long particularly down spine line but close lying and fairly fine texture. Scratch above right eye checked by Duty Vet, all ok. Off white body colour shows slight tonal shading at base of spine and on haunches. Brownish grey points are paler on ears, paws and tail, darker on mask. All points are mingled with paleish apricot. Faint rings on tail. Dark blue nose leather. Lovely temperament but what a wriggler.
