TIPS AND TRICKS  Take a break! If you don’t shop at a particular supermarket for a couple of weeks, they will send you better bonus deals to entice you back (usually lower minimum spend amount). You could also use your partner’s card if they have a separate flybuys account. If neither of these are an option, you can try shopping without swiping your rewards card. You will lose base points on these purchases, but will receive more bonus offers which give you more points in total.  Meet the targeted amount but don’t go over (this will increase the next minimum spend amount). If you need to buy more that week, put the other items through as a separate payment and either don’t swipe your rewards card, or use another adult’s card.  Go digital! Add your rewards cards to your phone so you always have it.  Don’t get blinded by deals. Buying something you don’t really need just to get more points often costs more than the points are worth.  Keep an eye on specials at other supermarkets. You may be able to purchase particular items for much less, even if you don’t get points.  Targeted offers are usually sent out between Thursday and Sunday.  Combine the offers! You can use some deals at the same time, and some are separate. Read the fine print before you go shopping to get the best points value for your shopping money.  Research credit cards. You may be able to gain points by paying your bills and other expenses using a linked card and access other bonus deals or discounts. Weigh up the fees and interest against possible savings when making a decision.
