Hockey for Hunger

The faculty of East Aurora Schools faced each other in this year's faculty hockey game on April 1st. The event was to raise money and canned goods for Fish and the Food Bank of Western New York. Thousands of cans were raised throughout the district, as well as over $5,000. The money was raised through ticket sales and t-shirt sales, as well as proceeds from the concession stand, run by East Aurora Middle School's Spirit Club and a change drive run by East Aurora Middle School's DECA. The event featured several EAMS faculty members playing hockey or cheerleading. The Middle School team lost to the High School in their first game 4-2. In the consolation game, the Middle School fell to Parkdale in a shootout 4-3.
