Monsta X, debuted in 2015 with their first EP Trespass. formed due to their individual participation on the Korean survival show NO.MERCY

Their first performance in the US was at KCON 2015 in Los Angeles. At the 2015 Mnet Asian Awards (MAMA), Monsta X received the "Next Generation Asian Artist" award as well as the "1theK Performance Award" at the 2015 .

In 2016, Monsta X continued their TV participation on the Chinese survival program called "The Remix", which was aired on Jiangsu Television. Their performance was lauded and received a huge response due to their perfect Chinese pronunciations combined with their energetic dance steps.

Monsta X's third mini The Clan Pt. 1 Lost was released in May 2016 and the album debuted at No. 5 on Billboard's World Chart where it stayed for two straight weeks.

In December 2016 the group was awarded the "Best of Next Male Artist Award" at the 2016 (MAMA). In March of 2017, Monsta X released their first studio album and the final part of "The Clan" series titled The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter .The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's World Albums chart and the lead track "Beautiful" debuted at No. 4 on Billboard's chart.

In May, 2017, Monsta X made their debut in on Universal Music Japan with their first Japanese single/album "Hero". The song reached no. 2 on the weekly single chart, no.1 on the Tower Record’s chart and no. 2 on ’s weekly charts. “Hero” is the only album from a non Japanese artist in 2017, that made into the top three of the Oricon weekly charts. In August 2017, their second Japanese single "Beautiful" reached number on the Oricon daily chart.

In July, 2017, Monsta X began their American onslaught when they headlined their first sold out World tour with 7 sold out dates in the US.

November 7, 2017, they returned with their fifth LP titled The Code with leading track "Dramarama". Monsta X has continued to win top awards on music TV shows, such as “32nd GOLDEN DISK AWARD Bonsang” and 4 top trophies with their new singles ‘Jealousy’ and ‘Shootout’. Monsta x became no. 9 most tweeted about artist in 2017.

In August 2018, Monsta X embarked on their second sold out headline worldwide tour: 25 shows in 20 cities (South America, Europe, Asia and the US) The band ended the sold out US leg with an unforgettable show in LA at Microsoft Theater.

Monsta X quickly returned to the US to play 6 main stage shows at Jingle Ball’s US tour including: LA, NY, San Francisco, Boston, Philly and Minneapolis.

Monsta X is currently charting on the Billboard, Social 50 chart for over a year. They remain and continue to grow as one of the biggest social media bands in the world

MONSTA X 2019

2019 has already been a phenomenal year for the band, with the release of their English language collaboration “Play It Cool” making its presence known on the Billboard HotDance/Electronic Chart [watch the video here]. Aoki composed, arranged, and produced this track, alongside co-writer and Monsta X rapper, I.M.; and he stated “their [Monsta X] voices dive into your soul.” With Idolator further elaborating “It’s a feast for the eyes and ears, and a reminder why Monsta X is one of the hottest acts on the planet right now”

The band’s latest album, Take.2 ‘We Are Here,’ debuted at #5 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart for the week of March 2, 2019; and has been causing an unstoppable wave of interest with notable mentions in Complex, Idolator, Billboard, Cosmopolitan, and NME stating that the album “features some giant leaps forward for the band.” On top of that, the band is currently set to perform as the first K-pop group at the iHeartRadio out in Las Vegas on September 21st, 2019.

They will simultaneously release 2 new records in Japan and Korea as well as a full English language compilation years end. The band is signed to Universal Japan for Japanese language releases only, and in Korea with Leon entertainment/. Monsta X has signed with for their English language recordings and worldwide distribution ex Korea.

The band is currently on their nineteen-date world tour, which ends with six U.S. dates. The band will be traveling all the way from to California throughout the course of their performances, ending at the historic Staples Center.
