The Earl’s Court Free School Primary: We want to hear your views

Dear Stakeholder,

The parents and teachers who set up the West London Free School and the West London Free School Primary are planning to open a second primary school in 2014. The school will help address the shortfall in primary school places in West London.

Lilke our other two schools, The Earl’s Court Free School Primary will provide children with a classical liberal education, focusing on a core of academic subjects complemented by art, music, drama and competitive sport.

The school will eventually become a two form entry primary located in the heart of the Earl’s Court, development, subject to planning approvals and consultation. However, that development will not be complete until 2020. So the Earl’s Court Free School Primary will open alongside the West London Free School Primary in Cambridge Grove in 2014. We plan to admit 30 children in Reception each year until the school moves to its permanent home, at which point it will double in size.

Our proposal has progressed to the pre-opening phase and we are now carrying out a public consultation. The consultation period runs from 8th November 2013 until 3rd January 2014. We will also be holding two open evenings where you can learn more about the school and meet some of the teachers. These will be held at the proposed temporary site for the school in Cambridge Grove, W6 on Wednesday 13th November and Wednesday 11th December. Sessions will run from 6pm until 7pm and from 7:30pm until 8:30pm on both days.
