Mills is one of seven Lyndsay Schlax, Assistant Principal schools in the San Mateo Union High School District. To achieve this goal, Mills High [email protected] School has over 50 clubs, numerous athletic teams, as well as Drama and Music programs in which Alex Stillman students can participate. The clubs include interests such as community service, culture, art, [email protected] environment, language, politics, leadership, religion, and science. The athletic teams include: badminton, basketball, baseball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track Kalani Vasquez and field, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling. [email protected] Academic Program Information The academic calendar is two semesters of 18 weeks each. Classes meet two days per week on a Graduation Class of modified block schedule. Block days include a period of Flex Time which gives students an opportunity Requirements 2019 to meet with teachers, work on projects or classwork. Three days a week, classes are 51 minutes in duration; on a block day the classes are 85 minutes in duration. We offer a 7-period day schedule. Six English 40 th th th classes are required for all 9 , 10 , and 11 Grade students; seniors must take at least five classes. Mathematics 30 Social Science 35 Grading Science 20 Each course has a value of five credits per World Language 10 semester. A total of 220 credits are required for Graduating GPA graduation. Class of 2018 Visual & Perf. Arts 10 Weighted GPA is calculated using a 4.0 Physical Education 20 grading scale, adding an additional point for AP 30.0% Health 5 courses when the student has earned a final grade of 20.0% Career Tech 10 “C” or higher. Grades and credits are calculated in Elective 40 January and June. All courses taken in each grade 10.0% level are included.
