2020 CONVENTION NATIONAL RAILWAY HISTORICAL SOCIETY BUENA PARK, CALIFORNIA JUNE 8 - 13, 2020 Southern California will be the venue for the 2020 NRHS National Convention. The dates of the convention are Monday, June 8, through Saturday, June 13, 2020. Our host hotel will be the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel, 7675 Crescent Ave., Buena Park, CA 90620. For our first visit ever to the southern part of the State of California, we'll be spending a fun- filled week exploring museums and other sites of interest in the area. The convention kicks off on Monday, June 8th, when registration opens in mid-afternoon at the hotel. YOU MUST WEAR YOUR CONVENTION ID BADGE TO ALL EVENTS. On Tuesday, June 9th, we will have a behind-the-scenes look at the Knott's Berry Farm narrow-gauge railroad, located in the Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park itself. This exclusive tour event is available only to guests staying at the NRHS convention hotel. Other events on Tuesday include the Advisory Council meeting, the Board meeting and the annual Membership meeting. On Wednesday, June 10th, we will travel by chartered motorcoach to the Southern California Railway Museum, formerly known as the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, CA to visit the museum and to ride a diesel-powered passenger train over their entire line. This excursion will include photo runbys. An on-site barbecue lunch is included. The Thursday June 11th event features a chartered motorcoach trip to visit the Fillmore & Western Railway in Fillmore, CA. -
