FERRY SERVICE INTERRUPTION Beginning at 3 P.M. on January 12, 2009 the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will suspend service on the Real McCoy (Cache Slough Ferry). The suspension of service on the Real McCoy R will be for at least 30 days. Caltrans will update the public in a subsequent flier on when the Steamboat Slough Real McCoy will be back in service. “J-Mack” Ferry After the Real McCoy returns to full service, Liberty Island Rd. Caltrans will pull the J-Mack ferry for dry-dock service. More information on the J-Mack service schedule will be provided in a subsequent flier, Cache Slough Ryer Howard as well. “Real McCoy” Island Landing Ferry The dry-dock service will enable Caltrans to ") Walker upgrade both ferries’ mechanical and electrical Landing McCormack Rd. systems, as well as add new coats of paint. Prior to and during the service periods, Caltrans will install Changeable Message Signs at key Y approaches to Ryer and Grand Islands. T For the Real McCoy, Changeable Message Signs Rio !( Brannan Isleton will be at both approaches to the Ferry; one on Island State Route 84 post mile 2.4 and one on Ryer Rio Vista TY Island State Route 84 at post mile 2.7. Bridge For the J-Mack, Changeable Message Signs will be at both approaches to the Ferry, one on 3-Mile Slough Solano 220 post mile 2.9 on Ryer Island and one Bridge on Sacramento 220 post mile .1 on the Grand Island side.
