Tola, Kan-anan sa Balay Oboza
We’ve named our restaurant after the beloved clear fish soup for one reason — tola captures the spirit of our entire menu of mostly Filipino classics: fresh, straightforward, satisfying. Food that’s familiar and flavorful, with a depth that comes from long and cherished culinary traditions across the Philippines and, in particular, those found in Davao. We’re talking lots of locally sourced ingredients, a host of homegrown cooking techniques and a range of glorious dishes, from light salads, hearty entrees to divine desserts.
The name tola also pretty much sums up the whole homey and relaxed dining experience we’re aiming to deliver, from the restaurant’s warm look and feel down to the serving sizes – small for solo diners, large for meals to share, tapas-style for a chance to sample as much as you like. All this against the backdrop of a refreshed Casa de Oboza, one of the city’s most enduring heritage houses.
Welcome to Tola. Mangaon ta.
