Dear Newsagent,

With the Federal Election announced for May 18th 2019 and the demand for accurate and honest journalism, have made available a great opportunity to drive extra sales in your store. From Monday 29th April, News Corp will launch a consumer promotion to participating Blueshyft newsagencies giving readers the opportunity to purchase two News Corp together at a special combo price. The promotion provides great value for your customers, and the opportunity for your store to increase category sales over the 4 week promotional period.

Promotion summary: The promotion will run for 5 weeks from Monday 29th April to Sunday 2nd June 2019. During the week (Monday-Friday), consumers can purchase The Australian and Herald Sun OR Weekly Times for $3.50. Similarly, on the weekends, consumers can purchase The Weekend Australian and Weekly Times OR The Weekend Australian and either Herald Sun (Saturday) or Sunday Herald Sun for $4.50.

Promotion supported by: A2 posters (as shown below) Strip posters Wobblers Point of sale will be delivered week commencing Monday 15th April 2019. Please contact your Area Sales Manager if you require extra point of sale.

Promotion setup instructions:

The offer will appear on your Blueshyft platform from the morning of Monday 29th April 2019. For any technical queries you can contact the Blueshyft customer service line on 1800 817 483.

Billing Detail:

Participating agents will be credited the the difference between retail and bundle price for the promotion via Blueshyft in three separate periods.

1st Reimbursement: 13th May - Bundle sales from 29th April - 12th May 2nd Reimbursement: 27th May - Bundle sales from 13th May - 26th May 3rd Reimbursement: 10th June – Bundle sales from 27th May – 2nd June

We would appreciate your assistance…  Can you please put up the POS elements to promote the offer in store (e.g. front of store, display, counter etc.).

 Create a secondary location for the newspapers each day (preferably at the front of the store to attract passers by and again near the counter with the poster on display) to encourage impulse sales.

 Mention the promotion to consumers when they come in to make a purchase. “Would you like to buy a newspaper today? Today, we’ve got a great deal on offer, where you can purchase The Australian and Herald Sun OR The Australian AND The Weekly Times together for $3.50/$4.50”.

NB. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with Pre PAY and Save promotion
