4. Stilt House- Some houses are built on wooden poles. Such houses protect us from heavy rains and harmful insects. At night, the ladder is removed.

5. Sloping rooftop houses: In places that receive heavy snowfall people build sloping rooftop houses. This type of rooftop lets the snow slide down easily. 6. Caravan: A caravan is a mobile house. Some caravans are pulled by animals and some run on wheels. 7. Multi-storey buildings: - Such buildings are made in cities which are thickly populated. 8. Bungalow: Bungalows are separate and large house with a lawn. Ques: Why houses in places which receive heavy snowfall have sloping roofs? Ans: Because sloping roofs do not let the snow collected on roofs and lets the snow to slide easily.

Kutcha house: These houses are not very strong. These houses are called as temporary house. They can get damaged easily. Example: Hut.

Pucca house:- These houses are very strong. They are permanent houses because they remain safe for many years. Example: Bungalows, multi-storey buildings.
