THE VISION: FOR OVER 20 YEARS, THE BIG MUDDY BLUES FESTIVAL HAS ATTRACTED MUSIC FANS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE ONE OF ST. LOUIS’ MOST IMPORTANT TRADITIONS – BLUES. THE BIG MUDDY IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY MUSIC FESTIVAL FEATURING OVER 40 ST. LOUIS ACTS ON SIX STAGES DURING LABOR DAY WEEKEND IN ONE OF ST. LOUIS’ MOST HISTORIC DISTRICTS – LACLEDE’S LANDING.

THE LOCATION: Laclede’s Landing is downtown St. Louis’ oldest district and only riverfront entertainment/dining destination. Recently named USA Today’s top 10 Cobblestone Neighborhoods, Laclede’s Landing is a favorite among locals and a must-see experience for all tourists and conventioneers, its century-old buildings and cobblestone streets offer a charming reminder of St. Louis’ earliest days. Today, the Landing (as it’s called locally) is home to ten unique restaurants, bars and nightclubs, as well as several retail shops, theaters and attractions. It is just steps from the globally-revered Gateway Arch, the National Blues Museum, the Lumiere Casino and the America’s Center convention building.

DEMOGRAPHICS: The 2016 Big Muddy Blues Festival is a family friendly event that attracted over 20,000 attendees. Patrons tend to be a diverse group of people ranging in ages of 25-70. Roughly 50/50 male/female. The festival draws a diverse crowd from a 3-500 mile radius and multiple countries. Mid to upper mid incomes.

MUSIC AND SERVICES: The Big Muddy Blues Festival has recently moved to an ALL ST. LOUIS LINE UP. St. Louis’ world-class music heritage and Blues tradition has been thriving for well over a century and produced some of America’s most important musical figures, such as, Johnnie Johnson, Henry Townsend, Chuck Berry, Scott Joplin, Fontella Bass, Ike & Tina Turner and Albert King.
