Sparkling Shiraz, The Tight Cluster, 2012, Australia 35 Lovely deep colour with berry fruits, spice, hints of cedar, some subtle smoky notes and liquorice. With a fine mousse, the wine has some lovely bright and more aged shiraz characters on the palate. Nice primary fruit with some spice and subtle oak. The fortified shiraz – albeit a very small component – has tightened and freshened the wine up really well.

Smooth mouth feel, this is a fresh and fruit wine that carries vanilla and caramel notes from ageing in small oak barrels. A well defined structure and drinking beautifully now.
