Mini- computer: These computers have higher storage capacity and speed than micro-computers. These are multi user computers. These are used in small business, local government departments and universities etc. 3. : These computers were invented in 1950s by Serew Dawfs. These computers are powerful large and expensive. These computers are used in banks, railways, airlines and hospital etc. 4. Super computer: First super computer was invented by Seymoul Cray in 1970s. There are two main types of computer memory. i. Primary devices

ii. Secondary devices 1. Primary devices: Primary devices are RAM and ROM. RAM: Stands for Random Access Memory. It is temporary memory. All programs are loaded into RAM. When a computer is turned off every information In RAM will be deleted. ROM: Stands for Read Only Memory. We cannot make changes in ROM.

It could store more data than to CD. Activity: Teacher should take them to the lab and show them CD, Floppy, DVD etc. and their devices. Teacher should also show working of all these devices.
