Project Settings and Information: • the Decoder Software Must Be at Least Version 35.15
EMD 16-567 1 F9 2 GP9 The EMD 567 is a line of large medium-speed diesel engines built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division. This engine, which succeeded Winton's 201A, was used in EMD's locomotives from 1938 until its replacement in 1966 by the EMD 645. It has a bore of 8.5 in (216 mm), a stroke of 10 in (254 mm) and a displacement of 567 cu in (9.29 L) per cylinder. Like the 201A, the EMD 645 and the EMD 710, the EMD 567 is a two-stroke cycle engine. It is a V engine with an angle of 45° between cylinder banks (the 201A was 60° between cylinder banks; 45° later proved to be significant when EMD subsequently adapted the road switcher concept for most of its locomotives, and which required the narrower (albeit taller) engine which 45° provides). The EMD 567 16cyl. is used in many prototypes: F7, FP7, GP7, SD7, F9, GP9, SD9, G16, NSB Di 3, DSB Class MY, etc. Source Wikipedia Project settings and information: • The decoder software must be at least version 35.15. • The ditch lights will be activated, if the bell or horn is played (CV 393 Bit0 = 1 activates ditch light if bell is played, CV 393 Bit1 = 1 activates ditch light if horn is played). • If you want the mars light effect, just change the value in CV 125 to 4. The mars light effect will be configured on function output 0 forward and can be toggled with the F9-key. • Attention: Please note that this project use a special brake button on F6. -

New Items 2017 Digital
New items 2017 DIGITAL 2 Dear ESU friends, Isn’t it amazing how time flies! In 2017 we at ESU celebrate the 20th anniversary of our company! After the initial “Storm and Stress” years around the millennium, ESU has been established as a reliable partner for model train enthusiasts and the model train industry as a whole. Numerous innovative ideas and products originated from these times and have been successfully introduced to the market. And, only because these products – starting with the classic LokSound decoder – have been received so well by you, we are now in a position to present even more exciting products of the year 2017: Our ECoS digital command station will get an internal facelift and will be upgraded to 6A power output and a new power pack. Of course, we will also continue to advance the software in order to be able to provide new functions for the ever increasing number of ECoS users. In addition, we have launched a new LokPilot V4.0 M4 MKL with 6 amplified function outputs for the more recently introduced Märklin® locomotives. Our highlight of the year will certainly be a complete new design and construction of the electric locomotive E03 / class 103.1. In our opinion this cult locomotive can only be done justice by a prototypical, up to date implementation! In order to provide even more diversity we are also introducing a number of shape and livery variants for the V200, class 265, class 245 and the “Ludmilla”. Since the “Deutz” set of tank cars, which were introduced last year, has been received so well we are pleased to announce new sets with different road numbers as well as some single cars to add to your fleet. -
Final Report
Fall 08 Final Report High Speed West – HST Group 3 Email: [email protected] Web: mddp.matrixprojects.net High Speed West Final Report HST-Group 3 (MDDP 2010 – 2011) Executive Summary High Speed West (HSW) is a proposal for a new high speed rail line from London to the southwest of England and Wales. The line reduces current rail journey times between London, Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff, and Plymouth to at least 60% of the current duration. HSW is a wheel on rail system on which a Western Star train service runs. The train sets of Western Star are Siemens Velaro trains, which are made up of 8 cars and have a service capacity of approximately 600 people. Western Star trains will travel at a top service speed of 320 kph. In addition to the cities mentioned above, Western Star trains will also call at Exeter because the route travels through the city and there is sufficient demand to satisfy the creation of another station. The opening of the London to Bristol phase is scheduled for 2023, with Bristol to Plymouth and Bristol to Cardiff opening in 2033 and 2040 respectively. The route of HSW is 450 km long; 31 % of which is in tunnels and 4 % over bridges. With the exception of London, new stations are proposed to be built in each city. Southampton, Bristol and Exeter stations will be box stations while Cardiff Station consists of four bored tunnels, each with an internal diameter of 7.25 m. Platforms in the new stations will be below ground level, apart from the platforms at Plymouth Station which are at ground level. -
