Lab Sciences, including 3 2 Biology 2 Juniors are to complete a total of 25 hours. Fifteen 2 Either Chemistry or Physics of these hours must be earned by volunteering with an organization that deals with the issues of social justice. Students must pass these exams by the end of Jr. Year: 2 United States Constitution Exam 2 English Composition Proficiency Exam Grade Point Average A student’s GPA is determined by multiplying the credit earned by the quality points for that course. Semester-long courses, for example, are worth 0.5 credits. The 0.5 credits are then multiplied by the quality points for the letter grade that was earned. These quality points are then totaled and divided by the credits attempted. Grades in Driver’s Education are NOT included in the GPA. Summer School grades and credits are added to a student’s academic record at the conclusion of summer school. The GPA of a transfer student is based only on grades earned at Notre Dame College Prep. Honor Roll The Honor Roll is determined on the basis of the semester GPA. There are three classifications: SUMMA CUM LAUDE: GPA of 3.80 or higher MAGNA CUM LAUDE: GPA of 3.50 through 3.79 CUM LAUDE: GPA of 3.20 through 3.49 Any grade lower than a “C-“ disqualifies a student from honor roll status. St. Thomas Aquinas considered this miracle to be the greatest of miracles because it happened to Jesus himself. It is very appropriate that the Church provides us this reading during the season of Lent. The Transfiguration of Jesus gave the disciples a foretaste of what the glory of heaven will be. The Transfiguration of Jesus, like the Baptism of the Lord, are pivotal events in our Catholic faith where human nature meets the divine, a bridge between heaven and earth. During our time in Lent, we put additional focus on transforming our lives. In our case, however, it is our inward self that needs transforming rather than our outward self. God asks us to seek conversion of our mind and heart. God is calling us to share what he has given us However, we must be open to conversion for it with others. to occur.
