Religion 4 2 Freshmen & Sophomores are to complete 25 English 4 service hours by serving Notre Dame, their parish, Mathematics 3 and/or local community. Lab Sciences, including 3 2 Biology 2 Juniors are to complete a total of 25 hours. Grade Point Average A student’s GPA is determined by multiplying the credit earned by the quality points for that course. Semester-long courses, for example, are worth 0.5 credits. The 0.5 credits are then multiplied by the quality points for the letter grade that was earned. These quality points are then totaled and divided by the credits attempted. Grades in Driver’s Education are NOT included in the GPA. Summer School grades and credits are added to a student’s academic record at the conclusion of summer school. The GPA of a transfer student is based only on grades earned at Notre Dame College Prep. Honor Roll The Honor Roll is determined on the basis of the semester GPA. There are three classifications: SUMMA CUM LAUDE: GPA of 3.80 or higher MAGNA CUM LAUDE: GPA of 3.50 through 3.79 CUM LAUDE: GPA of 3.20 through 3.49 Any grade lower than a “C-“ disqualifies a student from honor roll status.
