Inwardly, I am happy and content, and am not agonising over any unmet worldly needs; aLL my hearts desires are now fulfiLLed for I have now reaLised Him and remain forever attuned to Him. ALL the devotees rejoice and sing His Praise for they too have found Him who has no equaL. He adorns His devotees here and in the hereafter and bestows upon them the gift of unshakeable faith in the Divine Word and Order; He HimseLf saves them from the five vices and reLeases them from the bondage of 'cycLe of birth and death'. Man, who has finite abiLity, cannot fathom the unfathomable Lord but those who surrender unreservedly to Him and live by His WiLL and Order ferry across this very turbulent ocean. We should forever sing His Praise, for eternaL Bliss is its fruit, though He HimseLf has no need or desire of it. Registered Charity No 1045458 Guru Gobhind Singh Gurdwara- Atoot Khas, MP India The humble efforts by the Brent Sikh Centre Sangat have resulted in the buiLding of the impressive Guru Gobhind Singh Gurdwara, Attot Khas, MP, India. The buiLding measures 100 x 50 foot incLuding a basement. The buiLding provides much needed support for Sikh famiLies in this remote area, a place to worship, meet, ceLebrate and hold classes. The Gurdwara is waiting the Prakash of Siri Guru Granth Saheb to make it fulLy operationaL. The Sikh reLigion, the Gurdwaras and the Sikh doctrine mostLy grew in Punjab. NevertheLess our Gurus did populate the Sikh discipline far and wide –from Kabul to Burma, from Tibet to Sri Lanka. Guru Nanak is beLieved to have brought his message as far as Rome. Guru Hargobind Sahib ji needed weapons for his army and he caLLed for the best weapon makers from Marwar, Rajasthan. These Marwari men folLowed the Guru and his teachings. When peace prevaiLed, these craftsmen returned to Marwar but were disowned by their brethren and became Vanjare – roaming artisans. Then at Guru Gobind Singh ji’s time weapons were required once more and they were caLLed again. Guru Gobind Singh ji gave them the name Sikligar meaning ‘POLisher of weapons’ in Persian. Today these non-Punjabi Guru Sikhs Live across India, with significant populations in Maharashtra, AndhraPradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Dehli, needing support. After watching a documentary about the needy Sikligar Sikhs our management contacted the British Sikh CounciL to find out how we could heLp. We Learnt about the Sikhs of Atoot Khas (near Sanawad) in Madhya Pradesh. Fifteen years earlier they had been Living in an area where the Indra Sagar Dam is now situated. Their Land was needed for the dam and they were reLocated. They used some of the compensation received to buy Land to buiLd a much needed Gurdwara. They never received the baLance of the compensation from the Government to buiLd their Gurdwara. In ApriL 2016 a visit was made to see if it was feasible project that Brent Sikh Centre could heLp with. With the grace of Waheguru on 16th October 2016 work was started and has now been completed. Bhagat Ravidas ji – 9th Feb He was a true and a vehement devotee of Waheguru whose devotion and ardent divine love poured out in the form of spiritual poetry. His compositions expressed deep love and strong passion for Waheguru. Guru Arjan Dev ji decided to include his compositions in Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji. .
