The pit area will open early Saturday for teams to work on their cars. The Saturday event will be a draw for heat starting position. DIRTcar Licenses: All drivers must possess a valid 2018 DIRTcar Competitor License. Log onto www.dirtcarmembers.com to apply online or download a printable form. Licenses will be available for purchase at the DIRTcar Series trailer on race day.

With the beginning of a new season still a few months away, we look back on our 2014 performance and say without hesitation ... IT WAS A SEASON OF SUCCESS FOR MBR For Mitch Brown it was his most successful season since becoming a Sprint Car competitor in 2010. The 21 year-old won five A-Main features, enjoyed a steady diet of qualifying heat wins and was runner-up in the championship points’ standings in Ohsweken Speedway’s Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car division and in the Southern Ontario Sprints touring series. In the Canadian Championship Series of the Patriot Sprint Tour, the Brantford, ON native finished fourth in points and earned his first podium finish in a PST American race with a third place run at Mercer Raceway Park. He also had two other Mitch Brown top-10 finishes in limited PST America appearances. With no hockey commitments to shorten his racing season, Mitch qualified for his first Canadian Sprint Car Nationals rallying from a flat tire to finish 13th in the 35-lap event. He also won the first annual Kevin Ward Jr. Young Stars Challenge - an event honouring the memory of a young racer who lost his life in a tragic on-track accident at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in August of this year. (Ward Jr. had participated at Ohsweken Speedway the night before that tragic event.) When Mitch Brown's regular season here in Canada was over, he went south of the border where he gained the added experience he was seeking by running October events at Waynesfield Speedway and Eldora Speedway in Ohio before wrapping his season up with runs at Devil's Bowl Speedway Mesquite, TX and I-30 Speedway, Little Rock, AK -both ASCS events.

    2016 Super DIRTcar Series schedule By MIKE MALLETT Over the weekend the World Racing Group and DIRTcar Northeast held its annual promoters meetings. During those meetings the 2016 Super DIRTcar Series tentative schedule was released and then later in the day released to the public at the National Parts Peddler trade show. While there weren’t many surprises on the schedule a few should pique the interest of racers and fans alike. The series returns to the Williams Grove Speedway on June 22 after not competing at the facility since 2006. The last time the tour visited the track the race was dominated by Heinke-Baldwin Racing driver Jimmy Phelps. The series also returns to Utica-Rome Speedway as part of a special week in July for both the Empire Super Sprints and the Super DIRTcar Series. The series pairs up with ESS for two shows during the week, one at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on June 30 and then at Utica-Rome on July 3. The Last Call at the Port Weekend and the Dual at the Demon have been combined into one weekend in mid-September on the 16 and 17. Brewerton Speedway host the series on Friday night before drivers head west on the New York State Thruway to Weedsport to compete on Saturday. The World Finals has also moved up a week coming in late October on the 27-29 rather than early in November.     Edition #3 The Official Newsletter of Mitch Brown Racing 2013 TEAM PREPARING FOR BUSY RACING SEASON Throughout Southern Ontario race teams and fans are chomping at the bit awaiting those most famous words in motorsports - DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES! On the local front, Ohsweken Speedway is set to drop the green flag on their season on May 17 th while other dirt tracks in the Golden Horseshoe have posted schedules of earlier opening dates. Mitch Brown and his teammates are hoping to start their season off even earlier by heading to a Patriot Sprint Tour race at Merrittville Speedway on April 27 th -an event that opens the Canadian portion of the touring series’ expanding northeastern US/Canadian schedule. The team planned to visit Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway to watch the two-day World of Outlaws show on May 3rd and 4 th but they may side step that event to participate in a Patriot Sprint Tour race May 3 rd at Black Rock Speedway, Dundee NY. They’ll be participating in Ohsweken’s pre- season practice sessions on May 10 th before heading to another Patriot Sprint Tour event at Woodhull Raceway in the Southern tier of New York State on May 11 th, On May 17 th they return to Ohsweken for the Friday night season opener before literally racing east on highway 401 for a Southern Ontario Sprints series race at Brighton Speedway the following night. The Brantford team rounds out the month of May with a three day racing weekend beginning at Ohsweken (May 24th), and two PST events first at Bradford (PA) Speedway (May 25th) and Eriez Speedway (Hammet, PA (May 26 th ).
