Tires: The “Hoosier” D200 (the D200 will not be permitted on the either the left front or right position on the car), D300, D400 or D500 will be permitted. The “Hoosier” D200 will be removed from the competition inventory effective August 8, 2014. *Note: 2014 Super DIRTcar / DIRTcar Rule Book - http://www.superdirtcarseries.com/images/stories/Main_Images/PDF/2014DIRTNortheastRulebook.pdf Fuel: Only VP D-113, D-12 will be permitted. Fuel will be available at the track and to be purchased. (Fuel will be available at the speedway through VP). Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series Qualifying Procedures: 30 Car Field. (4 Provisional positions available to the Top-15 in the current season championship point standings.) Provisional starting positions will be awarded to the first 4 drivers in the Top-15, who have failed to qualify for the feature race provided the competitor that is eligible for the Provisional practices and makes an attempt to qualify through the qualifying races. In the event that the four (4) provisional starting positions are not awarded to the driver’s in the Top-15 in the current season championship point standings, those positions may be awarded to driver’s who have agreed to the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series Platinum Membership Agreement and have participated in over 75% over the Series events scheduled during the current calendar year. The Qualifying Race lineups will be based on Group Time Trials. Top 12 qualifiers in qualifying races will redraw for starting position in the 100-lap feature. Number of Qualifying Races will be based on the total number cars competing in the event. (8-lap qualifying races) 1 (or multiple) ‘B’-Features (10-laps) may be required – Number of Transfers will be posted at the trailer. This event will be based on the 100-point schedule. Qualifying Race points will be awarded. Event Specific Rules / Race Procedures: - Group Time Trials will be based on a “green-white-checkered”. - All Qualifying Races will be 8-laps. All ‘B’ Features will be 10-laps. Caution laps will not count. - All original starts will be side-by-side off turn four in the area of the VP Racing Fuels ‘Making Power Point’ until the green flag is displayed. - All Restarts will be double-file with lead lap cars to the front in the area of the VP Racing Fuels ‘Making Power Point’. The leader is the control car on all starts and/or restarts. - The front row must maintain the pace established by the pace car and will be signaled to do so, on the one-way radio, if in the judgment of the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series Officials, the pace is not maintained a penalty and/or penalties may be issued. - There will be no EZ Pass candidate in any Qualifying Races and/or ‘B’ Features. - The races may be extended past their scheduled distance with a green-white-checker finish. - The feature will be 100-laps. Caution laps will count from lap 1 until the completion of lap 75. - There will be a four (4) wide pace lap. Odd numbered rows pull to the outside, even numbered rows pull up and fill in. This will be instructed over the one-way radio. 2014 Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series Event 1 Event Specific Rules / Race Procedures continued: Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series - The Original start will be side-by-side off turn four in the area of the VP Racing Fuels ‘Making Power Point’ until the green flag is displayed. Purse: - All restarts up to lap 75 will be double-file with lead lap cars to the front - lapped cars will 1 $6,000 drop to the inside under caution and rejoin the field beginning after the last car on the 2 4,000 lead lap in their order of running on the race track at the time of the caution. 3 2,500 - After the completion of lap 75, all remaining restarts will be single file with lead lap cars to the front until the completion of the event. 4 1,800 - On all starts and restarts the front row must maintain the pace established by the pace 5 1,600 car and will be signaled to do so, on the one-way radio, if in the judgment of the Super 6 1,400 DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series Officials, the pace is not maintained a penalty and/or 7 1,200 penalties may be issued. - The leader is the control car on all starts and/or restarts. Only the leader has choice of 8 1,000 inside or outside on starts and/or restarts. 9 800 - When the caution is displayed, get into single-file order, you will be signaled over the 10 700 one-way radio when it is time to go double-file and/or restart single file. 11 600 - If the caution is displayed and you must pit, you will not lose a lap in the pits. You may only lose a lap on the race track under green flag conditions. 12 500 - If at any time the red flag is displayed and competitors are signaled to stop due to a red 13 400 flag condition, cars must come to a complete stop. After the field is stopped and is under 14 375 control of the pace car, Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series Officials, will instruct 15 350 any vehicle not involved in the red flag incident that needs to pit for service, to pull up to the pace car prior to being released to the pit area on the one-way radio. Any car that 16 325 pits during the red flag period will be required to restart at the tail of the field in their 17 300 respective position. If any car heads to the pits without following the instructing over the 18 300 one-way radio, a 1-lap penalty may be issued. 19 300 - There will be one (1) car eligible for the ‘EZ Pass Reward’ on each caution. The only car eligible will be the first one (1) lap down. The ‘EZ Pass’ car will be signaled over the one- 20 300 way radio to pull up behind the pace car, but must not proceed past the pace car until 21 300 instructed to do so on the one-way radio. 22 300 - All races may end with a green-white-checker finish. - One-way radios are mandatory – two-way radios will not be permitted. 23 300 - It is mandatory to have the following decals on the car (DIRTcar, Super DIRTcar Series, 24 300 VP Racing Fuels and Hoosier) and the driver must have a VP patch on his uniform. 25 300 - To be eligible for other available contingencies you must run the decals. Included is a 26 300 guided map for two available options to place decals on your vehicle. - Immediately following the conclusion of the event, the first place car needs to go to the 27 300 scale first, then we need second and third to the scales and to victory lane. 28 300 - World Racing Group, Super DIRTcar and/or DIRTcar Officials reserve the right to alter 29 300 the rules of this and/or any event, provided the competitors are given notice (in advance 30 300 and/or over the one-way radio) due to any circumstance that require such a change or alteration. Technical Inspection: Be prepared for inspection at Merrittville Speedway when Technical Inspection begins on Monday, August 4th @ 4:00pm: Inspection to be prepared for: Post Race Weights: DIRTcar Big Block Mods = 2,500 lbs Safety and General Inspection DIRTcar 500 Spec. = 2,500 lbs Carburetor Inspection General Body Inspection DIRTcar 358 Modified Ported Intake and Optional Exhaust = 2,500 lbs Pre-Race Engine Inspection DIRTcar 358 Modified Stock Intake & Spec Exhaust = 2,400 lbs Fuel Samples from Fuel Cell 358 Mods Ported Iron Heads = 2,650 Overall Inspection *** Note: There will be post-race inspection in the designated inspection area at the Series Trailer / Technical Truck following the completion of Victory Lane Ceremonies.

    2021 DIRTcar Late Models Rules & Specifications PREFACE A World Racing Group event is a competitive racing event which is intended to be conducted and officiated in accordance with the rules herein. These rules provide the guideline for all events. The rulebook may be amended from time‐to‐time and special rules may be published and/or adjusted at any event with the participants receiving prior notification. By participating in these events, all participants agree to comply with these rules and regulations. The rules are not intended to express or imply the warranty of safety as a result of publication of, or compliance with the rules and regulations as stated herein. The rules are intended to offer a guideline for the conduct and officiating of an event. The Supervisory Official shall be empowered to permit any reasonable and/or appropriate amendment from any of the specifications and/or procedures herein or impose any further restrictions that in their opinion does not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. Revisions to the rules are not intended to express or imply the warranty of safety shall not result from any such deviation or restriction of the specifications, rules and/or procedures. Any interpretation of, or deviation from, these rules herein, are left to the discretion of the racing officials and their jurisdiction is final. Any equipment changes, alterations to existing parts and/or performance enhancing changes to previously approved parts or equipment must be approved in writing prior to introduction into competition.     2019 NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week FAQs THE BIG QUESTIONS: Q: Where is NAPA Auto Parts Super Dirt Week being held? A: The 2019 event will be held at the Oswego Speedway, 300 E Albany Street, Oswego, NY 13126. Q: How is Oswego becoming a dirt track? A: Contractors will begin the conversion following the Labor Day Budweiser International Classic Labor Day Weekend. Nearly 600 truckloads of clay will be distributed over a base coat of decomposed deciduous chips. Larry Fink of DIRTcar in conjunction with Gypsum Express will lead the track effort to lay and compact the material, preparing the track over a three-week period, hence allowing ample time for the dirt to settle. A concrete gravity block barrier will be installed along the inner wall to preserve the drainage and wall heights. Once the track is laid, it will be prepared as any other dirt track by compacting and tilling the clay and adding water. The dirt will be removed and stockpiled immediately after the event. Q: Where will the Pits be? A: See the facility map on Page 3. The infield pit area will house only the active participants for the divisions on the track, as well as the grass viewing area (lawn seating) inside turns three and four. An Infield Pit Pass will be required to enter the infield. The pit and hauler parking area will be behind the Lakeview Grandstands, which has spots for nearly 325 race cars if needed. All ticketholders (Reserved and General Admission) will have access to the pit area behind the Lakeview Grandstands, but NOT the infield pit area inside the track.
