The Reality of Type 1 Diabetes

The Summit League and Sanford Health are once again teaming up to bring awareness to Type 1 diabetes during the 2020-21 basketball season. Currently, 1.25 million Americans are battling Type 1 diabetes. While the condition occurs at every age and in every race, most of those diagnosed are children. There are 70,000 children under the age of 14 newly diagnosed with this life-changing condition each year. During the month of January, each of The Summit League’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will participate in #BeatType1 game. Activites throughout the game will be centered around the #BeatType1 message. To learn more about how you can get involved in assisting The Summit League in the fight against Type 1 diabetes, please visit thesummitleague.org/beattype1. 2020-21 Jackrabbits Basketball Summit League Update WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STANDINGS MEN’S BASKETBALL STANDINGS Thru Games Played Jan. 4, 2021 Thru Games Played Jan. 4, 2021 School Summit Overall School Summit Overall South Dakota 2-0 6-3 Oral Roberts 2-0 5-5 Kansas City 1-0 4-3 North Dakota State 2-0 4-6 North Dakota State 1-1 6-2 South Dakota 2-0 4-6 Western Illinois 1-1 2-8 Kansas City 1-1 5-6 South Dakota State 0-0 7-2 North Dakota 1-1 2-9 Oral Roberts 0-0 2-6 South Dakota State 0-0 6-3 Omaha 0-0 1-4 Western Illinois 0-2 2-7 North Dakota 0-1 0-7 Omaha 0-2 2-10 Denver 0-2 2-8 Denver 0-2 1-8 Games Scheduled Jan. 8-9 Games Scheduled Jan. 8-9 South Dakota at Kansas City, 2 p.m. each day South Dakota at Kansas City, 7 p.m. each day North Dakota at Oral Roberts, 5 p.m. North Dakota at Oral Roberts, 7:30 p.m. Omaha at North Dakota State, 5 p.m. Omaha at North Dakota State, 7:30 p.m. Western Illinois at South Dakota State, 5 p.m. Western Illinois at South Dakota State, 7:30 p.m..
