Adia Barnes You Know, It Became a Reality That We Could Do Something Elite 8 Postgame Media Conference Really Special Last Year
NCAA Women's Basketball Championship: Regional Final: Indiana vs Arizona Monday, March 29, 2021 San Antonio, Texas, USA Alamodome - Mercado Arizona Wildcats said, I don't know about that (smiling). Adia Barnes You know, it became a reality that we could do something Elite 8 Postgame Media Conference really special last year. Like against Oregon State, UCLA in triple overtime, Arizona 66, Indiana 53 against elite teams in the Pac-12, we weren't able to get those wins. THE MODERATOR: We'll take questions for Coach Barnes. The following year, which is last year, we were able to convert and get those wins because we had that Q. Aari has had phenomenal back-to-back games, experience of playing really good teams down the stretch. phenomenal games throughout the entire tournament. It was unfortunate for us we didn't get that tournament Where does this rank in your mind as some of the best experience last year. tournament performances of all time? I thought last year we had a chance, I felt like we would ADIA BARNES: To me this is the best. She's been have gone deep in the tournament. amazing. I mean, stars make big plays, they step up when it really counts. No one remembers how you start, they Then you look at this year, we didn't have last year's remember how you finish. -
