Nicknamed “the Great One” by fans everywhere, he is often mentioned in the same breath as Major League ’s Cal Ripken, NFL’s , and NBA’s as highly respected professional athletes. The Gretzky name represents the very best that sports has to offer today’s modern society. His reputation,

Wayne Gretzky commitment, successes and blessings are used to benefit those less fortunate in the form of the Wayne Gretzky Foundation.

Beginning in January 2014, the Foundation will adopt a new visual identity. INTRODUCTION It will better represent the Foundation, take fullest advantage of Wayne Gretzky’s positive reputation and leverage the Gretzky persona more effectively in the corporate community. That, in turn, will help grow the Foundation and expand its services to better serve those in need.

The updated identity consists of a new mark, brand colors and graphic elements to be used in creating stationery and other collateral applications. This brochure will provide you with an overview of the identity’s key elements and guidelines for preparing collateral applications. Reference samples are included.

SHOOTING FOR A

The new logo was inspired by Gretzky’s hockey successes and is reminiscent of center ice and face off circle markings used on hockey rinks. It’s boldness represents strength, character and commitment to excellence. The tagline “Shooting for a Goal” is a pledge to improve the lives of those less fortunate.
