The College is centrally located at Lincoln's Inn Fields within easy walking distance of (Piccadilly and Central lines) and Temple (District and Circle Lines) underground stations. Two NCP car parks are situated nearby.

By underground/air The nearest tube station is Holborn (Piccadilly and Central Lines). When you leave Holborn station, turn left into Kingsway. Follow the road down and take the 3rd street on the left - Sardinia Street. The RCS building is on the right with big pillars.

Temple tube station (District and Circle Lines) is a 10 minute walk away, When you leave Temple station, turn left and head up the stairs. Go straight on to Arundel Street. This street turns slightly left and becomes . Turn right on to Kingsway. Follow the road down and take the 2nd street on the right - Sardinia Street. The RCS building is on the right with big pillars.

By bus A number of buses stop near the College, for more details download the map at the Transport for London web site. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/maps/bus

By rail The nearest stations are Kings Cross St. Pancras, Euston, Waterloo and . They are each a short taxi or underground journey, or about 20-30 minutes walk to the College.

Parking

Visitors should be aware that both and Camden councils operate parking bays around the Fields. Please check the signs carefully when you park to determine which borough you are parked in and ensure you purchase a ticket from the correct pay and display machine. The nearest multi-storey car parks are in Drury Lane and Bloomsbury Square.

The College has a dedicated parking space for use by disabled visitors. Please book this space in advance by calling Reception on 020 7869 6400. Blue Badge holders can park in marked bays for up to 4 hours, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.30pm, and without time limit outside these hours. As a Blue Badge holder you are also entitled to park at a meter/pay-and- display bay for an extra hour once the paid time has expired.

On street parking is available outside the College on Lincoln's Inn Fields. The pay and display charges are in operation from Monday to Saturday, 8.30am - 6.30pm. The current charge in the Westminster bays is £4 per hour with a maximum stay of 2 hours.

Directions to the Old Court Room and Old Hall, Lincoln's Inn For the Friday Evening Reception and the Saturday Gala Dinner

From the Academic Forum If arriving at the Friday Evening Reception directly from the Academic Forum use the map on page 11 to walk to the Old Court Room from The Royal College of Surgeons.

The main entrance is at the southeast corner of Lincoln's Inn Fields at the junction with Serle Street, but there are also several pedestrian entrances (Monday - Friday, 7 am-7 pm) from Chancery Lane and Carey Street.

By underground The most convenient stations are Holborn and Chancery Lane.

Holborn is served by the Central Line and the ; Chancery Lane by the Central Line.

By Car There are two ways to get into Lincoln's Inn by car, but both enter through the Main Gate, where gate staff will direct you:

From , enter Chancery Lane from the southern end, take the first left into Carey Street and then the first right into Serle Street and the Main Gate is on the right as Serle Street enters Lincoln’s Inn Fields.

From Kingsway, enter Remnant Street, continue straight along the north side of Lincoln’s Inn Fields, turn right on meeting the wall of the Inn and the Main Gate is 180 yards on the left.

By Bus Many bus services stop at Holborn Underground and in Fleet Street, the Strand and High Holborn. Details of bus routes can be found at: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/

Old Court Room

If you are arriving before 7pm: From High Holborn, turn down Chancery Lane. Fifty yards on the right is a small footpath into Stone Buildings. Walk down Stone Buildings until a small gate on the right appears, turn right; in front of you (70 yards) is a large flight of steps leading to the terrace of the Great Hall and Library building. The Treasury Office Reception is indicated as you approach the top of the first flight of steps on the left hand side. The entrance to the Old Court Room is adjacent to the Treasury Office Reception and will be sign posted.

If you are arriving after 7pm: From High Holborn, turn into Great Turnstile St; continue along Newman's Row until you reach the impressive Main Gate, where gate staff will direct you.

Old Hall

For the Old Hall, the main entrance is at the southeast corner of Lincoln's Inn Fields at the junction with Serle Street.
