PEACE BE WITH YOU! One sentence that we hear repeated so often in the Eastertide is, “Peace be with you.” Every time Congratulations to our Newly Baptized! Jesus appears to his Apostles, he greets them, “ aleichem!” in Hebrew. ‘Peace’ is a word Damian Rafael Lugo which features a lot in the Christian vocabulary. We use it so often, especially during the Hunter Cole Jasek Eucharistic celebration and in other prayers. As Christians, our very presence in the world is to bring "shalom" to our neighborhood – our homes, our places of work, our schools, and in the streets. During the Eucharistic celebration when the priest invites us to “offer each other the sign of peace,” it is only symbolic of our call to share that peace with others. It might be easy to shake th hands with the one who happens to be next to us during the Mass, but as we do that, are we willing Kolache Klobase Festival June 12 to share our peace with that person out there, who we find so difficult to love? his glory. Their journey is the journey we must also travel, and death does not scare us anymore.

We believe that through Christ’s death we have conversion, forgiveness of sin and new life. The first and second readings show us the characteristics of this new life.
