June was a busy month that started with the ACCC cars attend the Benton Airport car show & attendance of 11 cars in the Wichita River Festival shine and club photo shoot. Great job everybody! Minutes from the June 1, 2011 ACCC Meeting The meeting was called to order by President Glen Bailey. Kevin Mansfield reminded anyone to let him know if you are wanting a room in Eureka Springs. New Business Dates to remember: • June 3rd is the Riverfest Parade. • Anyone interested in going to Ponca City on June 4 can meet at 8:00 am at 47th and Broadway to caravan down together. • June 11 is the Corvette only car show at Davis-Moore. • June 12 anyone going to the All Wheels Show at Lake Afton should meet at the Antique Mall on West Kellogg at 10:00 am to caravan together. • There is a car show at the Sedgwick County on Father’s Day, June 19. • June 25 is the Benton Air Show and photo shoot. There will be a show and shine at 9:00 followed by the photo shoot around 11:30. • July 2 is the Newton Airport show starting at 9:00 am. • The regular business meeting for July will be held at Sedgwick County Park, followed by our annual Ice Cream Social. The E-Board presented a recommendation that the club participate again in the Blacktop Nationals, August 26-28. ACCC will be responsible for setting up and running the autocross at Lawrence Dumont Stadium parking lot. Details were discussed that we will be splitting the receipts 50/50 with the Blacktop organization rather than receiving a guaranteed amount. A motion was made by Gene Brown to participate and seconded by Dale Brotton. Motion carried. E-Board will get to work on setting up event chairs and Glen will be sending out descriptions. Swap and Shop - Monte has a set of C5 tires. Door Prize - Winner was Terry Hurley Drive and Eat - Friday, June 10 leaving from the truck stop at 6:30 sponsored by Gene Brown. Page 3 July, 2011 Volume 45 - Issue 7 Minutes from the June 15, 2011 ACCC E-Board Meeting Members present: Glen Bailey, Mike McKee, Bob Battaglear, Kent Michael, and Barbara Brotton. The minutes from the last e-board meeting were approved as printed. Although Barry was absent to verify, Glen reported that he believes we have a current membership of 93. No treasurer’s report. Old Business We verified that everything is in order for the Benton Air Show and photo shoot on June 25. We verified the details for the Ice Cream Social on July 6. There was discussion about who is responsible for bringing needed items. New Business Since the club has approved going forward with the Autocross for Blacktop Nationals, we will go ahead and set up a committee to oversee all of the various responsibilities. Committee chairs will collect a list of volunteers and be responsible for assigning tasks. A meeting will be held on June 21 at Glen Bailey’s for those people who have expressed interest in chairing committees. The next e-board meeting will be July 20, 7:00pm at Glen Bailey’s home. Membership dues include ACCC spouse membership and one National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) membership. If you already have an NCCC membership elsewhere, Regular Membership dues for ACCC are $25.00 per year for new members and $20.00 per year for renewals.
