Esta fauna está compuesta taxonómicamente de la siguiente forma: Polyplacophora (2 especies), Scaphopoda (1), Gastropoda (66) y Bivalvia (73). PALABRAS CLAVE: Holoceno, Pleistoceno, Polyplacophora, Scaphopoda, Gastropoda, Bivalvia, Atlántico Sudoccidental. A BSTRACT Systematic list of the marine and estuarine molluscs from the Quaternary of Uruguay. Until now 142 species of marine and estuarine molluscs have been recorded from the Quaternary of Uruguay. This fauna is taxonomically composed as follows: Polyplacophora (2 species), Scaphopoda (1), Gastropoda (66) and Bivalvia (73). 2014 Draft Proposal for an Orkney Scallop Regulating Order Orkney Sustainable 4 Ferry Terminal Bu Kirkwall Pier, Kirkwall Orkney KW15 1HU orkneysustainablefi [1] Application to Establish a Regulating Order in terms of Sea Fisheries (Shellfish) Act 1967 for Scallop Species in and around Orkney Executive Summary Scallop fishermen in Orkney understand the principles of, and operate to ensure that, the Orkney scallop fishery can be handed as a sustainable fishery for the next generation. A result of their observation and their recent industry initiated research project ‘Spatial Dynamics in the Orkney Dive Fishery’ ( Annex VII) has prompted these fishermen seek a Regulating Order to provide for the maintenance and improvement of the fisheries for King Scallop (Pecten maximus) and Queen Scallop (Pecten opercularis) (known as queenies). As the effort being directed against the Orkney Scallop fishery does not solely arise from the operation of these progressive fishermen, having examined all the possibilities to ensure a sustainable fishery have concluded that the obtaining of a Regulating Order will be the most effective action in obtaining their objective. The King Scallop fishery makes an important contribution to Orkney’s total shellfish and whitefish industry and to the isles’ economy in general. Some shellfish stocks such as Buckies (Buccinum) and Queen Scallops in Orkney waters have been over-fished in the past and as a result their stocks have collapsed which means they can no longer contribute to the local economy nor be used as part of a flexible seasonal fishing plan by fishermen. Without proper evidence it is not possible to say what the state of many stocks are. -

A redescription of the shell, anterior alimentary system, and radular morphology of Beluturricula gaini is provided. The genus Belaturricula is transferred to the family Conidae (sensu Taylor et al. 1993)on the basis of its radula, which is composed of hollow marginal teeth. The presence of a large shell, prominent operculum, acinous salivary glands, radular teeth with narrow bases in B. gaini, as well as the absence of buccal lips and rhyncodeal introvert, all indicate af5nities with the conid subfamily Clathurellinae. Because the radula ofPontiothaumuergata Hedley (19 16) is nearly indistinguishable from that of Belaturricula guini, we reassign Hedley’s species to the genus Belaturricula as Beluturricula ergata (Hedley, 1916). ABSTRACT The tip of the South American cone is one of the most interesting Subantarctic areas, both biogeographically and ecologically. Nonetheless, knowledge of the area’s biodiversity, in particular that of the subtidal marine habitats, remains poor. Therefore, in 2004, a biodiversity research project was carried out as a part of the cruise Cimar-10 Fjords, organized and supported by the Chilean National Oceanographic Committee (CONA). The results of the subtidal marine mollusk surveys are presented herein. The samples were collected aboard the Agor 60 “Vidal Gormaz” in winter 2004. The study area covered the northern Chilean Patagonia from Seno de Relocanví (41º31’S) to Boca del Guafo (43º49’S), on the continental shelf from 22 to 353 m depth. The Mollusca were collected at 23 sampling sites using an Agassiz trawl. In total, 67
