File Ref.: AT 5/2 – 18/042 8 February 2018 Subject: ICAO EUR/MID Aviation Data and Analysis Seminar (Paris, France, 4 - 6 April 2018) Action required: Reply not later than 15 March 2018 Sir, I have the honour to invite your Administration/Organization to attend the ICAO EUR/MID Aviation Data and Analysis Seminar hosted by the European and North Atlantic (EUR/NAT) Office in Paris, from 4 to 6 April 2018. The Provisional Programme for the Seminar is at Attachment A. The Bulletin describing administrative arrangements for the Seminar and other useful information for participants, including the Hotel List in Paris is at Attachment B. The objective of the Seminar is to bring together all stakeholders, (Regulators, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), Aerodrome Operators, Aircraft Operators, International Organizations and Industry) to review the current situation and trends of aviation in the EUR/NAT and MID Regions, including the synergies between aviation, tourism and trade; and the understanding of the challenges and needs of the different stakeholders, considering the cost effectiveness. The use of civil aviation data analysis for planning and decision making in ICAO, national administrations, airlines, airports and ANSPs will be also addressed. The Seminar will also include presentations on the latest applications in data and analytics that are used for efficient decision making by different aviation stakeholders, as well as a number of discussion panels addressing interesting subjects such as: information systems to improve airline efficiency, economics of airports and ANSPs. Taking into consideration the scope of the subjects to be addressed by the Seminar, it is strongly recommended that your delegation includes Experts from both the regulator and service providers’ side, involved in the economic planning and analyses, and policy making, including airport and air navigation services economics and management, forecasting, statistics, fleet planning and airline efficiency, etc. ../. The ATDA provides intelligence to Member States and stakeholders to determine the linkages between connectivity and competition at a granular level thus enabling them to take decisions to identify factors and take necessary policy measures to optimize the air transport network. The portal was built with the needs of the aviation industry in mind, integrating the entirety of data, business intelligence products as well as a selection of curated ICAO reports and documents. 1400-1500 The all new iCADS portal represents an immersive and holistic experience into ICAO’s portfolio of applications; allowing users unified to access to the multitude of datasets as well as business intelligence solutions provided by ICAO.
