The objects of study are focused on the two songs for Savage Garden’s First Album, namely:” Truly Madly Deeply” and “Tears of Pearls”. The result of this study show that the two songs consist of: two metaphors, two hyperboles, two symbols, two personifications, one metonymy and one simile.
