The Queensland Music Awards celebrate and showcase the best of Queensland’s new music. Taking place at The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley on Wednesday 5th May, the 2021 Queensland Music Awards (QMAs) is where Queenslanders celebrate the artists, industry leaders, festivals and live music venues that keep the joy of music alive in our communities. The format for the awards includes pre-party B2B networking drinks, a sit down dinner, ABOUT THE awards ceremony and an after party at the The Outpost Bar.

Winning a QMA is a key milestone in the career of many successful Queensland artists. Look back at the past winners of the AWARDS. QMAs and you'll see a host of names that have gone on to forge careers that made us proud. With over 1000 artist song submissions, and directors sending in more than 100 music video submissions, the 2021 QMAs marks the highest ever number of submissions on record.

The QMAs have spotlighted or unearthed a pantheon of Queensland music greats, including Kate Miller-Heidke, Bernard Fanning, The Grates, Hungry Kids of Hungary and Emma Louise. They've also recognised the chart-topping success of artists like Keith Urban and the Veronicas, and the lifelong contributions of the Bee Gees, Carol Lloyd, Ed Kuepper and Grant McLennan.
