Before Cornell Fortino played two years for the Canadian U18 National Team, serving as assistant captain and winning two silver medals in international competition. She was also a member of Team Ontario Red, also serving as an assistant captain and winning a pair of gold medals in provincial play. Freshman Season - 2008-09 Sidelined for the first two-thirds of the season, Mazzotta made her collegiate debut with a start in a 2-1 loss against St. Lawrence on Jan. 30. She picked up her first career victory and shutout when she made 15 saves in an 8-0 win against Union on Feb. 21. Mazzotta stopped a season- best 30 shots in her debut against St. Lawrence, while making more than 25 saves on two other occasions, including a 29-save showing on Feb. 13 against Harvard and a 27-save performance on Feb. 28 against the Crimson.

Before Cornell At the 2007 Canadian Winter Games, Mazzotta helped Team Ontario to win gold and was named team MVP. She was also a member of the U18 Canadian National team that finished second at the IIHF World Women’s Hockey Championships. Ogilvie scored her first career goal in a 6-0 victory at Brown on Jan. 24.

Before Cornell Ogilvie served as assistant captain for Team Alberta in 2008, helping her team to a silver medal at the Western Canada championships. Ogilvie was named the top forward for the team and was a silver medalist at the Mac’s Tournament, where she was the top point scorer. She also played with the Red Deer Chiefs, leading that squad to a league championship in 2008. Ogilvie played in the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League for four seasons, earning a spot on the all-star team in 2008. She also played softball, helping her team to a championship at the Alberta Summer Games in 2006. Ogilvie also played volleyball at Delburne Centralized School, serving as captain her senior year.
