Endurance Racing has a long tradition at the Nürburgring with the first 1000km being held in 1953 as part of the World Sportscar Championship. The race was won by Alberto Ascari and Giuseppe Farina for Ferrari.
The full Circuit version, including the Sudschliefe ran to more than 17 miles although most races were staged on the 14.17 mile long Nordschliefe, a track that was to earn the reputation as the true test of a driver's talent. The 'Ring’ was a remarkable track with its seemingly endless ups and downs and twists and turns. Fangio - Peter Collins - Jackie Stewart - Nicki Lauda all drove the Circuit. Spa Classic the on-track action offers an impressive line-up of cars and grids to suit all tastes. There is expected to be over 1500 cars on display at this year’s event, with clubs from all over Europe attending.
The Heritage Touring Cup, tribute to the famous Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours for Touring Cars, is again one of the star grids. Spa-Classic also puts on night time races for touring cars that are part of the tradition of this circuit.

We offer a Coach Tour from the UK and Self Drive Packages The Le Mans Classic event for cars manufactured during 1923 - 1979, takes place every two years. The 2016 Automobile Club de l’Ouest attracted a crowd of 110 000 spectators. Thus, the fans who flocked to the circuit were able to enjoy the village and its numerous sideshows and exhibitions. These included the Le Mans Heritage Club and the 180 car
clubs, representing around 80 makes with 8000 cars. In the evening the new Drive-In cinema, whose theme was the motor car, was a great success.
Every two years in July, it’s a gathering of the best of motorsport cars !

4 night Escorted Coach Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Thursday: Executive Coach departs London, Victoria UK. Our Dover Calais Ferry departs at 11:15, this allows time to top up on any provisions. We continue, from Nord Pas-de-Calais, via Rouen to our Chartres Hotel in time for dinner. Day 2 - Friday: Depart for the days track action and Qualifying. Then return to the Hotel.
Day 3 - Saturday: We depart for an exciting days Racing returning late to the Hotel.
Day 4 - Sunday: We depart to the circuit at 08:00 for days remaining action. After the Race Celebrations we return to our Chartres Hotel to refresh and relax over a late dinner. Day 5 - Monday: Return UK. After breakfast we retrace our outward journey. If time allows we will visit a Hypermarket for that last minute shopping.
