RENGER VAN DER ZANDE Career Highlights

2019  Second year with full-time co-driver Jordan Taylor in the No. 10 Konica Minolta DPi-V.R in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.  Opened the by winning the Rolex 24 At Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway with Taylor, and added drivers , the two-time champion, and , the former Formula One driver and current World Endurance Championship regular. It was van der Zande’s first career Rolex 24 overall win.

2018  Joined Jordan Taylor for the first time as full-time co-driver of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship defending driver and team champions in the No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R.  Will also be joined by IndyCar champion and Indy 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay for the endurance races at Daytona, Sebring and Road .  Finished third in the championship after a season-ending victory (on his dramatic last-lap pass) at the at , as well as podium finishes of second at the Twelve Hours of Sebring and Canadian Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, and third on the (Calif.) .  Qualified on the pole in his very first race with the team at the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

2017  Finished seventh in the driver championship as full-time co-driver with Marc Goosens in the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Multimatic Riley Prototype-class entry in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.  Scored a dramatic victory with a stellar, late-race pass for the lead in the season’s ninth of 10 rounds at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California.  Also scored a podium finish of third with Goosens and third co-driver Rene Rast at the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona.  Added a pair of top-five finishes at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International and at in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.  Scored a victory from the pole with Callaway Competition in the ADAC GT Masters event at Zandvoort in his native Holland.

2016  Won the Prototype Challenge class championship of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with full-time co-driver in the ORECA FLM09 with four class wins and eight podium finishes in all.  The victories came on ’s Belle Isle Street Circuit, from the pole at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen – both wins for the second year in a row – and at in Lakeville, Connecticut and Circuit of the in Austin, .  Added runner-up finishes at Long Beach, California, Laguna Seca and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, and a third-place result at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.  Finished second in the AKKA ASP entry at the 24-hour race at Spa Francorchamps in .  Also finished second with HTP Motorsport at the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring circuit in .

2015  Finished fifth in the Prototype Challenge class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with full-time co-driver Alex Popow in the Starworks Motorsport ORECA FLM09 with two class wins and four podium finishes.  The victories came on Detroit’s Belle Isle street circuit and at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.  Added a runner-up finish at the Petit Le Mans season finale at Road Atlanta, and a third-place finish at Lime Rock.  Qualified on the pole in a Car Collection Motorsport Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG at the 24-hour race at .  Qualified on the pole in Race No. 1 and won Race No. 2 for EFFORT Racing in the World Challenge event at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway.

2014  Runner-up in the Prototype Challenge class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with full-time co-driver Mirco Schultis in the Starworks Motorsport ORECA FLM09 with three class wins and seven podium finishes.  The victories came at Laguna Seca, Road America and Road Atlanta.  Added runner-up finishes at in Kansas and third-place finishes at the Mobil 1 and .  Was victorious with Car Collection Motorsport at the 12-hour race in Zandvoort.  Finished second with Mercedes AMG Driving Academy entry at the GT Cup.  Third with HTP Motorsport in the ADAC GT Masters event at Nurburgring

2013  Competed in six races with full-time co-driver Mirco Schultis in the Prototype Challenge-class entry for Dragonspeed Mishumotors with a best finish of second at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Added top-five efforts at Laguna Seca, Lime Rock and Circuit of the Americas.  Won the 16-race BRL-V6 oval championship for the Theunissen BRLV6 team with six race wins and four pole positions.  Competed in select events in the International GT Open with Seyffarth Motorsport in the Mercedes SLS AMG, earning two wins, one pole, and three podiums.  Raced in the Macau GT Cup with Erebus Motorsport, getting as high as third before contact ended his run early.

2012  Joined Konrad Motorsport for the first two rounds of the Supercup at .  Also joined the Lotus LMP2 team in the FIAWEC for two rounds, qualifying fifth at the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

2011  Competed in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters with Persson Motorsport, earning a second- and third-place finish at the Munich Olympic Stadium event.

2010  Joined RSC Mücke Motorsport for the debut season of the GP3 series, the feeder series for the GP2 Series, earning one podium finish.  Also competed in the Windsor Arch F3 with Team , finishing fifth.

2009  Moved into the British Formula 3 Championship, competing for Hitech Racing and promptly won the first race at Silverstone. Added two more wins among his nine podium finishes, and qualified on the pole five times. Finished third in the season-ending championship.  Returned to the Formula 3 Euroseries midway through the season replacing at the Oschersleben and Barcelona. After scoring a point in the first race at Barcelona, won the second race from .  Seventh for the City of Dreams/Ruikkonen Robertson Racing team in the F3 Macau Grand Prix.

2008  Fourth in the 20-race Formula 3 Euroseries with two wins and five podium finishes for . Also finished fifth with the team at the Macau Grand Prix.  Competed for Team Arden at the Dubai GP2 Asia event.  Selected to the Mercedes AMG Driver Development Program.  Tested in DTM, Formula 3.5 and GP2.

2007  Finished 11th in the Foruma 3 Euroseries for Prema Powerteam, winning once and scoring a podium in 20 races.  Selected to the Mercedes AMG Driver Development Program.  Tested in GP2.

2006  Eight podium finishes and one pole position driving for SMS Seyfforth Motorsport in the Formel 3 Cup.  Finished fourth in the A1GP round for Team .

2004  Rookie season with Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula Renault 2.0 series.

2000-2003  Eighth in the European Championship ICA for CRG Holland.  Fifth in Formula A for CRG Holland.  Fourth in the German Kart Championship for CRG Holland.  Fourth in the Dutch Junior Championship for CRG Holland.  Local Venray champion.
