PALABRAS DEL PRESIDENTE Ocho años después de haber iniciado un proceso de transformación, de inversión constante en el fútbol de nuestras selecciones femeninas es un verdadero motivo de orgullo poder observar los grandes resultados que han conseguido estas niñas en tan poco tiempo, siempre entregando su co- razón en la cancha, su cariño y respeto por este deporte y un amor profundo por la camiseta tricolor. Estas 23 guerreras comenzaron ese camino en 2007, cuando eran apenas unas niñas llenas de ilu- siones y sueños, que querían llegar a su primer mundial de la categoría Sub-17. Y lo consiguieron en Chile cuando alcanzaron el cupo a Nueva Zelanda 2008, la primera Copa Mundial a la que avanzaba una selección femenina de nuestro país. Luego ampliaron esa ruta de buenos resultados en 2010 cuando no solo clasificaron al Mundial de Sub-20 de Alemania sino que finalizaron en la cuarta posición, demostrando un fútbol de gran riqueza técnica y un futuro promisorio. Un año después no se detuvieron en sus aspiraciones y en la Copa América de Ecuador consiguieron su primera clasificación a la Copa Mundial de mayores que también se realizó en Alemania. Fue ese primer encuentro con el fútbol de élite, enfrentando a las grandes estrellas de este deporte. Hoy, cuatro años después Colombia llega a Canadá con una generación que ha crecido en todos los aspectos y que en poco tiempo ha acumulado experiencia y se ha ganado el respeto y la admiración a nivel mundial. Las metas son cada vez mayores pero sabemos que contamos con un excelente grupo, lleno de virtudes, de talento, de alegría y que en Canadá 2015 tendrán la gran oportunidad de continuar ampliando sus sueños y llevando a Colombia a escribir las páginas memorables de la historia del fútbol mundial femenino.

COLOMBIA, TIERRA DE OPORTUNIDADES CAMINO A CANADÁ

Invicta en siete partidos, sumando 17 de 21 puntos posibles, con la valla menos vencida del torneo, 12 goles a favor y 2 en contra, la Selección Colombia Femenina cumplió los objetivos trazados y con un empate 0-0 ante Brasil en la final de la Copa América logró su clasi- ficación a la Copa Mundial Femenina de la FIFA Canadá 2015, a los Juegos Olímpicos Rio 2016 y a los Panamericanos Toronto 2015.

Es la segunda vez consecutiva que el equipo nacional logra esta valiosa hazaña que ya había alcanzado en 2010 en Ecuador y de esta forma le dio al fútbol femenino de nuestro país su sexta participación en Co- pas Mundiales Femeninas de la FIFA (2 Mayores, 3 Sub-17 y 1 Sub- 20), sus segundos Juegos Olímpicos, al igual que sus segundos Juegos Panamericanos desde 2008, año en el que inició este brillante proceso que le ha arrojado una grata racha de celebraciones a Colombia a nivel internacional.

Este grupo conformado por 22 jugadoras de gran experiencia, a pesar de su corto promedio de edad (24), demostró una vez su entrega en la cancha, la buena planificación de cada uno de los partidos, su exqui- sita técnica, el amor y el respeto por la camiseta nacional y la cercanía que ha venido logrando ante un rival histórico como Brasil que nueva- mente celebró el título sudamericano.

A sus 36 años de edad y con importantes resultados desde que asu- mió el cargo en 2012 como seleccionador nacional de la categoría FABIÁN FELIPE TABORDA TORRES Sub-17, Fabián Felipe Taborda ha tenido nuevos e importantes retos Director Técnico en estos tres años de gestión que hoy lo tienen al comando del equi- 19/09/1978 po nacional que en Canadá buscará su mejor actuación histórica en Palmira Valle una Copa Mundial Femenina de la FIFA.

Este licenciado en educación física recreación y deporte con espe- cialización en alta gerencia y desarrollo deportivo tuvo gran inci- dencia en los procesos de formación y desarrollo del fútbol femenino en el Valle del Cauca, en su rol como director técnico de la selección de ese departamento.

Fue campéon del torneo de la liga del Valle en 2005, 2006 y 2010, 8 subcampeón nacional interligas en 2007 y 2008 y campeón de los DIRECTOR TÉCNICO

PERFIL DT. SELECCIÓN COLOMBIA juegos departamentales en 2011, antes de vincularse de lleno a la Federación Colombiana de Fútbol para dirigir el proceso de la Selección Femenina Sub-17 que logró en Bolivia el cupo a la Copa Mundial Femenina Sub-17 de la FIFA Azerbaiyán 2012.

En 2013, después de haber participado en su primera Copa Mundial volvió a liderar el equipo sub-17 que logró el subtítulo en Paraguay y de esta manera clasificó por segunda ocasión consecutiva a una Copa Mundial Femenina de la categoría, esta vez en Costa Rica 2014.

Luego de su buen paso por la sub-17, el profesor Ta- borda dirigió la categoría mayores en los Juegos Boli- varianos de 2013, ganando la medalla de oro de ese certamen internacional.

En 2014 también tuvo la oportunidad de orientar al equipo nacional sub-20 con el cual finalizó en la tercera posición en el Campeonato Sudamericano de Uruguay en 2014 que sólo entregó dos cupos para la Copa Mun- dial.

A partir de ese momento, ha dirigido de lleno la selec- ción absoluta con la cual obtuvo la medalla de plata en los Juegos Centroamericanos de Veracruz y el subtítulo en la Copa América de Ecuador que lo llevó a alcanzar su gran sueño de estar al frente del banquillo en su primera Copa Mundial Femenina de la FIFA en categoría mayores.

PRESIDENT’S WORDS Eight years after starting a process of transformation, of constant investment in the football of our female national teams, we feel really proud to see the great results these girls have achieved in such a short time, always giving their heart in the field, their appreciation and respect for this sport and a profound love for the national team’s shirt. WOMEN NATIONAL These 23 warriors started their path in 2007, when they were only just little girls full of hopes and dreams, as they wanted to reach their first world cup in the U-17 category. And they made it in Chile where they reached a spot to New Zealand 2008, the first World Cup that a female team in our TEAM MEDIA country advanced to. Then they expanded that path of good results not only in 2010 when they qualified for U-20 World Cup in Germany but finished in fourth place by showing a great technical football and a promising GUIDE future. A year later they did stop with their aspirations and in the America Cup in Ecuador they got their first qualification to the major World Cup that was also held in Germany. It was the first encounter with the elite football, facing the biggest stars of the sport. Today, four years later Colombia arrives to Canada with a generation that has grown in every aspect and that in a short time has gained experience and earned the respect and admiration worldwide. Each time the goals are bigger but we know we have an excellent group, full of virtues, talent and joy, and that in Canada 2015 they will have the great opportunity to continue broadening their dreams and leading Colombia to write the most memorable pages of the female football history.

COLOMBIA, LAND OF OPPORTUNITIES ON OUR WAY TO CANADA

Undefeated in seven games, adding 17 out of 21 possible points, with the least goals against in the tournament, 12 goals in favor and 2 against, the Colombian Female team fulfilled the objectives set and with a 0-0 draw against Brazil in the America Cup final they obtained their classification to the FIFA’s Female World Cup Canada 2015, to the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 and to the Pan American Toronto 2015.

Is the second straight time that the national team achieves this valuable feat, which they had already reached in 2010 in Ecuador and thereby gave to the female football their sixth participation in FIFA’s Female World Cups (2 Majors, 3 U-17 and 1 U-20), their second Olympic Games, as well as their second Pan American Games since 2008. That was the year that this bright process started and that has given a pleasant streak of celebrations to Colombia internationally.

This group made up of 22 highly experienced players, despite their short age average (24), proved once again their commitment in the field, the sound planning of each one of the matches, their technical skills, the love and respect for wearing the national shirt and the clo- seness that has been showing in front of a historic rival like Brazil that once again celebrated the South American title.

FABIÁN FELIPE TABORDA TORRES At 36 years old and with important results since he assumed the Technical Director position in 2012 as national coach in the Under 17 category, Fabian 19/09/1978 Felipe Taborda has had new and important challenges in these three Palmira Valle years of management that have him currently leading the national team and that in Canada is going to seek their best performance in the history of a FIFA Female World Cup.

With his degree in physical education, recreation and sports and a specialization in senior management and sport development he had great influence in the development of female football in Valle del Cauca, assuming his role as technical director of the team in that province.

He was champion of the tournament with the Valle league in 2005, 40 2006 and 2010, national interleague runner-up in 2007 and 2008 TRAINER

PROFILE TD. COLOMBIA TEAM and province game champion 2011, before going full time to the Colombian Football Federation to lead the process of the Female Team U-17 who was able to earn a spot in Bolivia to the FIFA’s Female World Cup U-17 in Azerbaijan 2012.

In 2013 after having participated in his first World Cup he came back to lead the U-17 team that won the subtitle in Paraguay and thereby qualifying for the second conse- cutive time to a Female World Cup in their category, this time to Costa Rica 2104.

After his good performance in the U-17, professor Ta- borda directed the major category in the Bolivarianos Games of 2013, earning the gold medal of this interna- tional competition.

In 2014 he also had the opportunity of leading the national team U-20 with which he finished third place in the South American Championship in Uruguay 2014 who only gave two spots for the World Cup.

As of that moment, he has led the team full time, and with whom he obtained the silver medal in the Central Ame- rican Games of Veracruz and the subtitle in the Ameri- ca Cup in Ecuador. This took him to achieve his biggest dream of being at the front of the bench of his first FIFA Female World Cup in the senior category.
