“Helping Military and Veterans through

Founded in 2011, Patriots Hockey is a proud program of Fighting for Home Sports, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We are an all-volunteer organization with the goal of giving back to the military/veteran communities through Charity Ice Hockey Games, Adult League Teams, and Community Relations Projects. We achieve that goal through a network of committed volunteers dedicated to our Hockey and Charity Programs. While our Hockey Program provides a therapeutic and educational experience to Military Service Members and Veteran players, our off-ice Charity Program is open to anyone who wants to join our team! You do not need to have served in the Military to be a positive force supporting Military issues. Additionally, we are always looking to partner with organizations that share our ideals and values.

Patriots Hockey Program Patriots Hockey strives to create a community where ANY Military Service Member or Veteran can come to play hockey. Our organization is structured so that our players are welcomed into a zero-pressure environment that is focused on developing as hockey players and fostering a fellowship equal to that experienced in the service.

Patriots Hockey competes in tournaments locally and throughout the Nation. Our Team Captains and Alternates are volunteers who manage the day to day operations of their respective teams. We offer teams at the following levels: : - D3 (Advanced) - D4 (Intermediate) - D5 (Advanced-Beginner) - D6 (Beginner) Inland Empire: - D3 (Advanced) - D4 (Intermediate) San Diego Ice Arena’s continuous support of our developmental program, in the form of ice- time donations, allows our players the opportunity to come out and practice without financial strain. Our practice structure is built so our players receive coaching for their level. Whether our practice is being run by USA Hockey™ level IV coaches or by a group of our advanced players, our players leave the ice sweaty. The goal of our developmental program is to provide a fun and educational experience for every level player at any level of physical ability. Our players understand and agree to play under the expectations described in our Patriots Hockey Players Handbook. Our culture does not allow or tolerate any form of discrimination or hazing, period. If you are a Military Service Member or Veteran, you are welcome here. We just want to play hockey! Please contact Craig Sterling at SDIA

Patriots Charity Program Our program’s history of providing high-level competitive charity hockey games at San Diego Ice Arena has become a thing of tradition. Today we have established relationships with venues like the and the San Diego, as well as San Diego Ice Arena. We may even have established a rivalry or two! Our charity games raise money and awareness for Patriots Hockey and other military non-profits that benefit our fellow service members and their families. Additionally, our players and volunteers participate in organized community service projects assisting local military and veteran run non-profits, both in and out of the hockey community.

Volunteers Our off-ice volunteers are vital to making this program a success! We are always looking for military and non-military volunteers to help within the following groups: - Event Coordination - Funding and Sponsorships - Marketing and Public Relations - Merchandise Coordination Please contact Craig Sterling at SDIA or reach-out directly to the Patriots at [email protected] or visit our website, www.PatriotsHockeyProgram.org to learn how you can be an advocate for our mission.
