    GENERAL GRADUATION INFORMATION 1. You will receive your diploma cover during the ceremony. Diplomas will be available for pick up May 17 and 18 in front of the Counseling Office. You must park in the student parking lot. Only students who have completed checkout and have paid all fees will be able to pick up their diplomas. 2. Your name, as it is printed on your diploma (from school records), will be used during the commencement ceremony unless you provide a note from your parents by Wednesday, May 12, indicating the name should be read differently. 3. Photographs will be taken during Dress Rehearsal on May 14. The photographer will take a picture of each senior being presented a diploma regardless of whether pictures have been ordered. You may have a maximum of two current AFHS staff members in your photo, and students are responsible for inviting those individuals to Dress Rehearsal. 4. Dress for Honors Assembly and Commencement: All graduates will wear red gowns. Caps are not worn during the Honors Assembly. Caps are worn during the Commencement ceremony. They are worn straight and level and pulled down slightly on the forehead. Caps and gowns are not to be altered in any way, nor are they to have writing or insignia on them. Students are to wear formal attire: Students may wear a dress or a skirt/blouse (no denim), dress shoes (no flip-flops or casual sandals), and no hair decorations. Dresses should not show below the gown.
