GENERAL GRADUATION INFORMATION

1. You will receive your diploma cover during the ceremony. Diplomas will be available for pick up May 17 and 18 in front of the Counseling Office. You must park in the student parking lot. Only students who have completed checkout and have paid all fees will be able to pick up their diplomas.

2. Your name, as it is printed on your diploma (from school records), will be used during the commencement ceremony unless you provide a note from your parents by Wednesday, May 12, indicating the name should be read differently.

3. Photographs will be taken during Dress Rehearsal on May 14. The photographer will take a picture of each senior being presented a diploma regardless of whether pictures have been ordered. You may have a maximum of two current AFHS staff members in your photo, and students are responsible for inviting those individuals to Dress Rehearsal.

4. Dress for Honors Assembly and Commencement:

All graduates will wear red gowns. Caps are not worn during the Honors Assembly. Caps are worn during the Commencement ceremony. They are worn straight and level and pulled down slightly on the forehead. Caps and gowns are not to be altered in any way, nor are they to have writing or insignia on them.

Students are to wear formal attire: Students may wear a dress or a skirt/blouse (no denim), dress shoes (no flip-flops or casual sandals), and no hair decorations. Dresses should not show below the gown. OR, students may wear a collared, button-up dress shirt with a necktie, dark dress pants (no denim), dark socks, and dark dress shoes (no flip-flops, sandals, boots, or gym shoes are permitted - *Note: Dress Rehearsal will take place on the football field, so flats are recommended.).

During Dress Rehearsal, students may wear collars, cords, stoles, medals, and other such adornments indicating rank or awards. During the Commencement ceremony, students are permitted to wear academic adornments only (NHS collars, cords from elective courses, etc.)

5. Electronic Devices: Expectations are that cell phones are turned off and out of sight and ear buds are not used and are out of sight during practices and Dress Rehearsal. *NO cell phones or electronic devices will be permitted to be carried in by students. All devices should be left at home or with your family, or they may be checked in upon entrance and picked up following the ceremony.

6. Family Members: Honors Assembly – A maximum of 2 family members will be permitted to attend Dress Rehearsal on Friday, May 14. Family members will NOT be permitted on the football field at any time. All guests must wear masks at all times and respect social distancing protocols while on campus. Commencement – Each graduate will receive a maximum of 4 tickets for family members/friends to attend the graduation ceremony at on Saturday, May 15, at 3:00 p.m. These tickets will be distributed during Dress Rehearsal the evening of May 14.

7. Additional information regarding directions to the stadium, student and family parking, graduate and family entrance gates, and where to meet graduates following the ceremony will be provided at practice and will be e-mailed to students and parents and will be posted on the school website. The current safety guidelines at State Farm Stadium as well as a list of prohibited items at the stadium is provided for you below.

Since the onset of COVID-19, State Farm Stadium has partnered with public health experts to create a safe and welcoming environment for fans. New policies and procedures have been implemented to keep everyone safe – but we need your help to make it a success.

Know Before You Go

Fans MUST NOT come to the stadium if they have COVID-19, COVID-19 symptoms, or know they've been exposed to COVID-19.

Sanitization Measures

State Farm Stadium has implemented ASM Global's VenueShield program that incorporates industry best practices designed to provide the highest levels of cleanliness and safety. Enhanced cleaning protocols throughout the stadium including all public spaces and surfaces, will take place prior, during and after every event. Dedicated restroom attendants will assist with continual cleaning throughout the event.

Face Covering Policy

In accordance with local requirements, face coverings must be worn by everyone at all times while at State Farm Stadium. This policy applies to both the inside of the stadium and the outdoor spaces around the stadium perimeter as well. All staff, visitors, guests, ticketholders or any others in all areas of the stadium are require to wear face coverings except for when actively eating or drinking while in a designated seated area. • The policy applies to all persons 2 years of age or older. • For guests or ticket holders, removal of face coverings while actively eating or drinking is only permitted while in designated seating areas. To minimize the potential for close contacts between guests, the consumption of food or beverages on concourses or in other public spaces of the stadium is not permitted. • Face coverings must be properly worn and must completely cover the nose and mouth. • In accordance with CDC guidelines, face shields are not an acceptable replacement for a face covering and may not be utilized in place of a face covering. • In accordance with CDC guidelines, face coverings with exhalation valves or vents are not acceptable for use. All face coverings must:

• Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin. • Fit snugly but comfortably against the sides of the face.

Physical Distancing

Physical distancing of at least 6 feet will be enforced at all times.

Health Screening

For your safety, our employees will undergo temperature checks and health screening questions prior to entering the stadium.

Contactless Entry

Stadium entry will utilize every other door and physical distancing markers on the ground for line queuing.

Capacity Reduction

Capacity reductions are in place to facilitate physical distancing. Congregating in groups or standing along railings is not permitted.

VenueShield provides the most advanced hygienic safeguards that serve State Farm Stadium’s clients, guests, staff, teams, talent and all other visitors. All policies will be aligned with and informed by public health authorities, medical and industry experts. ASM Global has proactively partnered with and will further consult with leading subject matter experts, health officials and industry leaders in the areas of industrial hygiene, sanitization and fulfillment to consult on all facets of the VenueShield program.

Inside the Stadium

Contactless Restrooms

Motion sensored sinks, soap dispensers, and toilets have been installed in all restrooms for your safety and convenience.

Prohibited Items

The following items are not permitted inside State Farm Stadium. There are no provisions to store items not allowed through security and items cannot be held by security staff members.

• Aerosol Cans • Alcohol • Animals (except for service animals) • Bags not in accordance with the NFL Clear Bag Policy • Balloons • Banners or signs larger than 3’ x 2’ • Beverages other than one (1) factory-sealed, non-frozen 500mL (16.9 fl. Oz.) plain bottle of water (sport drinks and flavored water not permitted) • Beverage containers – Bottles, cans and thermos bottles • Brooms • Cameras with professional photo lenses • Chewing tobacco • Clothing deemed obscene or indecent • Coolers of any kind • E-cigarettes or vaporizer pens • Fireworks • Folding chairs • Food (except for children under the age of two) • Footballs and beach balls (inflated or deflated) • GoPro cameras • Illegal drugs • Laptop computers • Laser pointers • Mono/tripods • Noise makers (whistles, horns, bells, etc.) • Poles or sticks of any kind, including “Selfie-Sticks” • Umbrellas larger than 12 inches in length • Video cameras • Weapons – including, but not limited to, firearms & knives • Any item deemed inappropriate or hazardous by stadium security
