Collection records are given for 15 species of pamphiliid sawflies of the genera Neurotoma, Onycholyda and Pamphilius mainly from various regions of the Russian Far East. New distribution records are P. archiducalis Konow, 1897, from Sakhalin, P. balteatus (Fallén, 1808) from Sakha and Primorskiy kray, P. hilaris (Eversmann, 1847) from Sakha, Khabarovskiy kray and Primorskiy kray, P. hortorum (Klug, 1808) from Magadanskaya oblast and Primorskiy kray, and P. latifrons (Fallén, 1808) and P. lobatus Maa, 1950 from Primorskiy kray. The first definite collection data of P. tricolor Benesˇ, 1974 from Primorskiy kray and those of P. pallidus Shinohara, 1988 from Korea are also given. It is built of dolomite, and enriched with limestone formations. The basalt formations of Kovácsi Hill and Tátika-region are the results of the volcanic activity. The other part of the inves- tigated area is the coastal region of Lake Balaton. This region is mainly moorland and wet meadows which were originally part of the lake-bed and turned dry as a result of the water management in the 19th century. The vegetation is abundant from the sub-Mediterranean xerotherm steppes, through closed oak and beech forests to cold gorges that preserve glacial remains.

Nous avons appliqué pour ce travail les travaux les plus récents, notamment ceux de notre collègue français Jean LACOURT qui a fortement fait évoluer la classification des Tenthredinidae. Dans cette liste, nous avons éliminé les espèces anciennement citées (avant 1950) sans localités ni dates précises et qui n’ont pas été retrouvées dans les collections des différents musées français mais nous avons inclus les espèces nouvelles pour la France ou pour la science, dont les publications sont en cours ou sous presse. The larva is a solitary leaf-roller on Betula ermanii, B. corylifolia and B. platyphylla var. japonica [Betulaceae]. The late-instar and mature larvae are well characterized by the dark chocolate brown head and the richly black- marked thorax and last segment of the abdomen. The egg is laid always on the side vein of upper surface of the leaf, and the larval leaf roll is made always on the upper side of the leaf. The larval leaf-roll is peculiar in that the both ends are equally open with silk threads and the larva consumes the leaf at both ends of the roll. An arctic species known from only two sites in the Cairngorms Plateau. The host plant, Salix herbacea is widespread, and so the limiting factor is almost certainly climatic. A. abnormis requires very cold climatic conditions that ensure snow patches lie until late summer. This species is likely to be effected by warming climatic conditions. No other species are known to be of conservation concern based upon the limited information available. Conservation status will be more thoroughly assessed as more information is gathered. Host plants Many species of sawfly are monophagous, with several high altitude speces relying on single Salix species such as S. arbuscula , S. lapponum and S, myrsinites , which have suffered serious declines in range and density since recording began 150 years ago. These declines have probably been caused by increased grazing pressure. In many cases, the rarity of the sawfly is therefore already determined by the rarity of its host plant. 1 E.     A checklist of the sawflies (hymenoptera: symphyta) of Bedfordshire Introduction The following paper is the complete checklist of symphyta in the county of Bedfordshire compiled from all sources available at the time of production. The checklist is largely possible because of the work and records of Victor Horace Chambers (1911-1984). He collected aculeates and symphyta, mainly from Bedfordshire. Chambers published numerous papers in journals including the Transactions of the Society for British Entomology. He was a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society. Chambers died approximately 10 years before personal computers became widely adopted and as a result all his records were paper based. He prepared a draft checklist of Bedfordshire symphyta, but this was unfortunately lost. Chambers kept an extensive collection of hymenopteran voucher specimens, which he carefully catalogued in five notebooks. His notebooks and collection were passed to The Natural History Museum (NHM) in London where they can be viewed by appointment. On receipt of a grant from this Society, the notebooks were painstakingly digitised by staff at the NHM. In total, 3,296 records of symphyta specimens were transcribed from his notebooks by the author of this checklist. Historical records have been georeferenced as accurately as possible from location notes. Six figure, site centroid grid references have been employed were possible. In many cases the County Recorder holds more precise location details available to any interested parties. All scientific naming follows the most recent Checklist of British and Irish Hymenoptera - Sawflies, ‘Symphyta’ (Liston, et al, 2014). Up to, and including records from 2018, Bedfordshire has recorded 357 species of sawfly out of the approximately 540 species currently thought to be present in Britain.
