ABSTRACT Ayurveda and Veda have an in-depth relationship. The Ayurveda system is not simply medical. It is the holiest science of crea- tion. It allows the person to lead a happy life with a pure body and spirit. The Vedas date back five thousand years or so. They’re preaching life philosophy. Ayurveda is known as Atharvaveda’sUpaveda. The Vedas are ancient doctrines of great terrestrial knowledge. Vedas are mantras sets. ABSTRACT Sushruta Samhita is one of the two most ancient, encyclopaedic & authoritative classical books of the Indian Medicine. The Sushrut Samhita expounded by Kashiraja Divodasa Dhan- vantari, compiled by Sushruta, supplemented by Nagarjuna & Chandrata is a classical work on Indian surgery. Sushruta Samhita is the creation of the sage surgeon of the first type. The extent Sushruta Samhita consists of six section with 186 chapters. But it was obvious that the original Samhita consisted of only five sections with 120 chapters. While the first five section deals almost extensively with surgery, the last section is designed to deal briefly with the other six branches of Ayurveda leaving out the toxicology. These six section are Sutrasthana (46 chapters), Nidanasthana (16 chapters), Shareer sthana (10 chapters), Chikista sthana (40 chapters), Kalpa sthana (08 chapters), & last Uttartantra (66 chapters). Sustrasthana provides the framework of surgery as the focal theme of the work. It also deals with preliminary mat- ters concerning medical study. Interesting aspects of this section which can be called as ‘first principle’ are the introduction to medical science especially surgery, medical education & training, the theory of therapeutic substances, & dietetics. -

India as a nation has always been warmly and enthusiastically acceptable of other cultures and ideas and this is also another reason why many changes and features during the colonial rule have not been discarded or shunned away on the pretense of false pride or nationalism. As with the Mughals, under European colonial rule, architecture became an emblem of power, designed to endorse the occupying power. Numerous European countries invaded India and created architectural styles reflective of their ancestral and adopted homes. The European colonizers created architecture that symbolized their mission of conquest, dedicated to the state or religion. The British, French, Dutch and the Portuguese were the main European powers that colonized parts of India.So the paper therefore aims to highlight the growth and development Colonial Indian Architecture with historical perspective. Keywords: Architecture, British, Colony, European, Modernism, India etc. INTRODUCTION: India has a long history of being ruled by different empires, however, the British rule stands out for more than one reason. The British governed over the subcontinent for more than three hundred years. Their rule eventually ended with the Indian Independence in 1947, but the impact that the British Raj left over the country is in many ways still hard to shake off. -
When Did Kali Yuga Start, How Long Is/Was It, and When Will It (Or Did It) End?
When did Kali Yuga start, how long is/was it, and when will it (or did it) end? In the book The Holy Science (1894) Sri Yukteswar clarified that a complete Yuga Cycle takes 24,000 years, and is comprised of an ascending cycle of 12,000 years when virtue gradually increases and a descending cycle of another 12,000 years, in which virtue gradually decreases (See the above figure). Hence, after we complete a 12,000-year descending cycle from Satya Yuga -> Kali Yuga, the sequence reverses itself, and an ascending cycle of 12,000 years begins which goes from Kali Yuga -> Satya Yuga. Yukteswar states that, “Each of these periods of 12,000 years brings a complete change, both externally in the material world, and internally in the intellectual or electric world, and is called one of the Daiva Yugas or Electric Couple.” Unfortunately, the start and end dates as well as the duration of the ages are not agreed upon, and Sri Yukteswar (who I have deep faith in) is one of many individuals that have laid out differing dates, times, and structures. “In spite of the elaborate theological framework of the Yuga Cycle, the start and end dates of the Kali Yuga remain shrouded in mystery. The popularly accepted date for the beginning of the Kali Yuga is 3102 BCE, thirty-five years after the conclusion of the battle of the Mahabharata.” This quote is taken from a well-researched article, “The End of the Kali Yuga in 2025: Unravelling the Mysteries of the Yuga Cycle in the New Dawn online magazine which can be found HERE. -

The detector is a 4-km arm-length Michelson Interferometer with Fabry-Perot enhancement arms, and aims to detect fractional changes in the arm-length smaller than 10-23 Hz-1/2 . The task of constructing this very sophisticated detector at the limits of present day technology is facilitated by the amazing opportunity offered by the LIGO Laboratory and its international partners to provide the complete design and all the key components required to build the detector as part of the collaboration. -

The Keys to British Success in South Asia COLIN WATTERSON “God is on everyone’s side…and in the last analysis he is on the side with plenty of money and large armies” -Jean Anouilh For a period of a period of over one hundred years, the British directly controlled the subcontinent of India. How did a small island nation come on the Edge of the North Atlantic come to dominate a much larger landmass and population located almost 4000 miles away? Historian Sir John Robert Seeley wrote that the British Empire was acquired in “a fit of absence of mind” to show that the Empire was acquired gradually, piece-by-piece. This will paper will try to examine some of the most important reasons which allowed the British to successfully acquire and hold each “piece” of India. This paper will examine the conditions that were present in India before the British arrived—a crumbling central political power, fierce competition from European rivals, and Mughal neglect towards certain portions of Indian society—were important factors in British control. Economic superiority was an also important control used by the British—this paper will emphasize the way trade agreements made between the British and Indians worked to favor the British. Military force was also an important factor but this paper will show that overwhelming British force was not the reason the British military was successful—Britain’s powerful navy, ability to play Indian factions against one another, and its use of native soldiers were keys to military success. Political Agendas and Indian Historical Approaches The historiography of India has gone through four major phases—three of which have been driven by the prevailing world politics of the time. -

It has been felt that there are many advantages of introducing such a course in our education system. -
