The Bank of Russia has been holding weeks of financial literacy in the Crimea Federal District starting 2014. The primary goal of lectures, lessons, meetings, and expert consultations is to provide population of the new Russian region with the required knowledge of the financial system of the Russian Federation and respective legislation, help determine demands and preferences to make rational financial decisions. This time the topical issues were specifics of Russian consumer loan agreement, main types of compulsory insurance, foreign exchange control, and financial monitoring. Crimean Peninsula is located in the southernmost part of Ukraine and is washed by the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The Peninsula is joined with the mainland by narrow Perekop Isthmus. Both seas form climate of Crimea.Healthy climate is the main treasure of this peninsula region. Recreation potential of Crimea is really unique. This Potential includes, first of all, natural health and recreation resources. The main factors are subtropical climate and evergreen plants of the Crimean Southern Coast, as well as salty lakes with great resources of therapeutically healthy silt peloids, various hill therapeutic muds, bentonite clays and mineral waters of Western and Eastern Crimea. Today development of sanatorium and resort activity in Autonomous Republic of Crimea is of utmost priority. There are 13 resort regions in Crimea, 750 sanatoriums, resorts, and hotels, and over 2000 minor hotels as well. Some 400 travel objects are open all the year round, while other 400 are open only during seasons. More than 170 landscape objects and landmarks, various relief and natural peculiarities make development of different tourism kinds a very good perspective. There are a total of more than 12 horse riding bases and camps. Six state reserves, 29 game reserves, out of which 16 are of state importance, 87 natural landmarks, 13 of which are of state importance, as well as 10 reserve landmarks constitute natural reserve fund of the Autonomous Republic. Crimea's most famous resort town is Yalta, which became a prestigious vacation destination in 19th century Tsarist Russia after the first road was built from Simferopol.

Abstract In March 2014 a change took place on Europe's political map. The Crimean Peninsula became part of Russia, switching sovereignty after more than 20 years during which it was part of Ukraine. This took place following a Russian military intervention and a referendum. A majority of the world's countries however, do not recognize the Russian control of Crimea and still consider it a part of Ukraine, rendering the territory an area with undefined political status. Shortly after the sovereignty change, the region and its population started experiencing all kinds of hardships. An often neglected type of hardship Crimeans are experiencing is the difficulty of obtaining visas. Following the referendum, many diplomatic missions in Russia have instituted a policy of not issuing visas to residents of Crimea who apply with Russian-issued documents. This article shall make a summary of EU and Schengen countries' positions regarding this issue, as these are the biggest groups of countries that requires both Russians and Ukrainians to obtain visas before travelling there.

Since 2014, the tourism economy has been in a protracted crisis, caused by both internal and external reasons. The annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation in March 2014 significantly exacerbated the problems of the functioning of the tourism economy, preventing its sustainable development. The Russian authorities are taking political as well as socioeconomic measures to rebuild the tourism economy of Crimea, by taking steps to increase tourist traffic in Crimea, especially within the country, i.e., from other regions of Russia. One of the directions of actions to overcome the crisis is information support by the Russian media, the analysis of which is presented in this article. The aim of the study is therefore an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of information support by the Russian media for the tourist destination of Crimea in 2014–2019. Media activities are part of the Russian government’s tourism policy in this area. The article deals with the following theoretical issues: tourism policy, sustainable tourism development, heritage as the subject of tourism policy impact, information management, crisis management, the role of information in crisis management. Since March 2012, the project has entered a second phase, providing support to selected Crimean municipalities and districts to help them design development projects and attract development funding to their territories.P Several municipalities (old cities/towns with an important historical heritage) share a common issue: despite of having the potential to attract visitors, tourists and businesses, they are not sufficiently equipped in terms of infrastructure and services to do so. This report is based on the expert’s assignment that took place during 22 April – 3 May 2013, and focused on eleven pilot municipalities – Bakhchisaray, Belogorsk, Evpatoriya, Feodosiya, Gurzuf, Kerch, Simeiz, Simferopol, Stariy Krym, Sudak, and Yalta. Its objective is to carry out an in depth analysis of these cities, which will help them understand their current situation and revitalization needs, and to contribute to the selection of up to 5 cities, which could be recommended as pilots for development and implementation of revitalization strategies..
