O estudo se caracterizou como sendo de natureza descritivo-exploratória, e foi desenvolvido com alunos matriculados em duas Escolinhas de futebol de campo e quatro Escolinhas de futsal, na cidade de Chapecó (SC), pertencentes às categorias Fralda e Pré-mirim, com idade variando entre seis e dez anos. A amostra foi selecionada através de um levantamento da quantidade de escolinhas existentes no município e contou com 06 professores e aproximadamente 120 crianças. Foram utilizados os seguintes procedimentos para obtenção de informações: Questionário de Perfil; Entrevista Semi-Estruturada, aplicada aos professores das turmas observadas; Observação e Protocolo das aulas. Ao todo, foram realizadas 28 observações e 06 entrevistas. As informações apontam para a necessidade de os contextos de ação destinados ao ensino do futebol e do futsal precisarem perceber o esporte através de uma perspectiva mais ampla de entendimento. A forma tradicional de conduzir o processo de ensino- aprendizagem do futebol e do futsal necessita ser repensada, onde este passe a ser um meio e não um fim. Constatou-se a carência, por parte das escolinhas, de um Projeto Político e Pedagógico, explicitando suas intenções e objetivos, alicerçando suas ações através de um arcabouço teórico-prático mais consistente. As aulas observadas seguiram o modelo tradicional, com ênfase no ensino dos fundamentos técnicos, basicamente através do método parcial. O trabalho apontou para alguns princípios norteadores para a construção de uma nova concepção de ensino em escolinhas de futebol/futsal, nas categorias Fralda e Pré- Mirim. Os alunos destas categorias devem ter aula de futebol/futsal, e não treino; devem jogar bola, ao invés de participar do coletivo; devem estar inseridos no mundo do brinquedo, ao invés de cada vez mais precocemente, inserir-se no mundo do trabalho; e o papel do coordenador deste processo deve pertencer a um professor e não a um treinador, tratando o futebol e o futsal como um jogo de bola com os pés, onde o esporte de alto rendimento seja percebido como uma referência e não como sendo a única dimensão do fenômeno esportivo. Este estudo procurou abrir “novos olhares” sobre um campo bastante complexo e polêmico, contribuindo com o processo de ensinar e aprender futebol/futsal, através de uma perspectiva diferenciada de ação e reflexão, onde a instrumentalização tenha a relevância necessária, constituindo uma das dimensões do processo, e não a única. Ações como estas podem contribuir com princípios que auxiliem no desenvolvimento concreto de seres humanos comprometidos com seu próximo e com uma transformação da estrutura social, a fim de torná-la mais justa e mais humana. Viktor Shigunov ABSTRACT This study has the purpose to investigate the pedagogical practice in the soccer/futsal schools for children, pointing out to guiding principles of methodological procedures which can serve of overcoming presuppositions. The study characterized itself as being of descriptive-exploratory nature, and it was developed with students matriculated at 02 soccer schools for children and 04 futsal schools for children, in Chapecó city, Santa Catarina State, which belong to 6 to 8-year-old category and 9 to 10-year-old category. The sample was chosen according to the quantity of the soccer/futsal schools for children existent in the city and counted on 06 teachers and about 120 children. The following procedures were utilized to get the information: Profile Survey; Interview, applied to the teachers of the observed groups; Observation and Registry of the classes. 28 observations and 06 interviews were realized altogether. It was clear the necessity that the action contexts assigned to the soccer and futsal teaching need to realize the sports through a wider perspective of understanding. The traditional way of conducting the soccer and futsal teaching-learning process needs to be rethought, where this becomes a means and not an end. It was noted a lack of a Pedagogical Political Project at the soccer and futsal schools for children, becoming clear intentions and objectives, consolidating their actions through a more solid theorical-practical baggage. The observed classes followed the traditional model, emphasizing the technical basis teaching, basically through the partial method. During the study, we pointed out to some guiding principles to the construction of a new teaching conception in the soccer/futsal schools for children at 6 to 10-year-old categories. The students of these categories must have soccer/ futsal classes and not training; they must play ball, instead of participating of the collective; they must be inserted in the toy world, instead of being inserted in the working world more and more precociously; and the coordenator’s role in this process must belong to a teacher not to a coach, dealing with the soccer and futsal just as a ball game with the feet, where the high level sports be realized as an allusion and not as being the only dimension of the sporting phenomenon. This study tried to open “ new looks” over a very complex and polemical area, contributing with the soccer/futsal teaching-learning process, through a differential perspective, of action and reflection, where the specific knowledge has the necessary importance constituting one of the process dimensions, and not the only. The soccer/futsal schools for children can indeed contribute with principles which help in the concrete human beings development, engaged with the people around them and with the transformation of the social structure, in order to become it fairer and more humane.     Language Barriers in Sports: the case of Italian Professional Football RAYMOND SIEBETCHEU This chapter aims at illustrating the dynamics of language barriers in sports and specifically in football. Considering the high percentage of international mobility of football players, the research focuses on the effects of the multilingualism generated by this type of international migration. It also analyses language barriers by focusing on banners in the Italian stadia. These banners, which should be re-coded to be comprehensible, were mainly collected from the digital database of the Striscia la Notizia broadcast archives. Through a demo-linguistic overview, the research reveals that 482 foreign players, recorded in the Serie A and Serie B (season 2015-2016) on the basis of the teams official websites, come from more than 69 countries and speak at least 44 languages. The inevitable language barriers which arise are ana- lysed, considering that teams need to efficiently manage multilingual- ism to overcome these barriers for the ultimate purpose of sports com- petition. The study therefore proposes two models as first steps in managing language interaction in football, respectively on the basis of collective multilingualism and individual multilingualism. It further highlights that language diversity in football should be considered as an asset and suggests that future research should be conducted on lin- guistic and cultural mediation in football in the attempt to resolve lan- guage barriers in this field of social practice. It all began in 1863 in England, when rugby football and association football branched off on their different courses and the Football Association in England was formed - becoming the sport's first governing body. Both codes stemmed from a common root and both have a long and intricately branched ancestral tree. A search down the centuries reveals at least half a dozen different games, varying to different degrees, and to which the historical development of football has been traced back. Whether this can be justified in some instances is disputable. Nevertheless, the fact remains that people have enjoyed kicking a ball about for thousands of years and there is absolutely no reason to consider it an aberration of the more 'natural' form of playing a ball with the hands. On the contrary, apart from the need to employ the legs and feet in tough tussles for the ball, often without any laws for protection, it was recognized right at the outset that the art of controlling the ball with the feet was not easy and, as such, required no small measure of skill. The very earliest form of the game for which there is scientific evidence was an exercise from a military manual dating back to the second and third centuries BC in China. This Han Dynasty forebear of football was called Tsu' Chu and it consisted of kicking a leather ball filled with feathers and hair through an opening, measuring only 30-40cm in width, into a small net fixed onto long bamboo canes.
