LUGGAGE CHECK-IN At attended stations, luggage check-in facilities open one hour prior to departure for 30 minutes. At unattended stations, on board staff will assist with checking luggage upon the train’s arrival. ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION Thursday Island The level of accessibility varies at each station across the long-distance network, and onboard the trains. To assist you with planning your journey, further information is available through your travel agent. CONCESSION FARES BRISBANE On presentation of a current Australian state or territory Government Seniors Card, you will receive up to 50% off the full adult rail fare on Queensland Rail Travel’s long distance services. Queensland Pension Weipa Concession Card holders are eligible to receive four Queensland Pension rail travel entitlements each calendar year. An administration charge applies for the use of rail travel entitlements. Meals and upgrades to Sleeper or RailBed accommodation are an additional cost to concession rail fares. Queensland Pension entitlements include one of the following: SPIRIT OF QUEENSLAND • RailBed: Two one-way trips using two entitlements for each journey. • First Class Sleeper: Two one-way trips using two entitlements for each journey.
