Summary of the 14Th Session,Summary of the 13Th Summary of the 14th session There is no translation available for this article…” Summary of the 13th session SKOPJE, 4 March 2014 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (the Agency), at today’s session adopted the Draft-Form: data on the ownership structure, editors and economic performance of the broadcaster (Form SUE / 1). The Agency adopted the Draft – decision to revoke the broadcasting license to the trade broadcasting company TV ART KANAL Struga LLC and decided to revoke the broadcasting license to the aforementioned broadcaster, since the license holder ceased to broadcast programme services more that 30 days due to technical, financial or other reasons, that is, did not broadcast television programme at least 8 hours a day. The Agency adopted the Report on programme supervision (monitoring) of the programme of TBC Sitel Television LLC Skopje, broadcasted on 28 February 2014. The previously stated broadcaster acted contrary to Article 77 paragraph 2 of the Election Code (consolidated version), whereby a violation of Article 183-a, paragraph 1, indent 2 and paragraph 2 of the Election Code was committed, that is, in the news, announcing the results of a public opinion survey related to the participants in the election process, did not state the data on the size and structure of the examined sample and the period for which the survey was conducted. Accordingly, the Agency decided to submit a request for initiation of misdemeanour proceedings before the competent court, that is before filing the request for misdemeanour proceedings to enforce a settlement procedure. The Report of the programme supervision (monitoring) of the programme of TBC Sitel Television LLC Skopje , broadcasted on 28 February 2014 can be downloaded here. The Agency adopted the Information on the preparation of the necessary documents of the Form of the file for bids, regarding the candidacy of the City of Skopje and the National Arena “Philip II of Macedonia” to host the matches of the group stage of the European Football Cup UEFA EURO 2020 together with the answers. Summary of the 12th sessin SKOPJE, 28 February 2014 – The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, at today’s meeting, adopted the Information on the finding of illegal media concentration in TBC MUZICKO RADIO KMR Ljubisha and Boban LLC Kumanovo, under the provisions of the Law on Broadcasting.The violation of the Law on Broadcasting concluded at the 58th session of the Broadcasting Council is not provided as violation of the rules for illegal media concentration contained in the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, which means that pursuant to the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, this broadcaster does not have illegal media concentration in terms of the violation established earlier. The Agency adopted the Rules for registration in the registry of operators of public electronic communication networks and registration of programme services and the Application Form for registration in the registry of providers of audiovisual media services on demand. – The application form for registration in the registry of operators of public electronic communication networks and registration of programme services can be downloaded here. – The application form for registration in the registry of providers of audiovisual media services on demand can be downloaded here. The Agency adopted the Information on the videos of regional television supervisions outside of Skopje in the recording system of the test period with proposal for their deletion and concluded to delete the videos of the test period of the system for recording audio and audiovisual content, because they take up a lot of space in the disks and due to the fact that they were already reviewed by a relevant department and no violations were found. The Agency adopted the Report on the extraordinary supervision over the performance of operators of public electronic communication networks on 25 February 2014 in Struga and on 26 February 2014 in Gevgelija and decided to issue a decision to operators of public communication networks that retransmit television programme services that are not covered by certificates for registration of package programme services by the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, imposing that their retransmission should be terminated immediately, as follows: – The operator of a public electronic communication network Pela Digital 2008 LLC export- import Struga, within the analogue package can not retransmit: RTS 2 RTS 1, Rai Uno, RTCG Sat, NTV Sport, NTV , Atlas TV, 24 Kitchen, CNN, Entertainment, Discovery ID, Disney junior, DM Sat, MTV Hit, Best of Macedonia (BOM), Happy TV, Show Turk, National Geographic Wild, WE Music, rosport 2 , Alsat – M, Kanal 5 plus, Cinestar Action,

This paper looks at how public service broadcasters in seven countries of the Western Balkans have embraced new approaches, technologies, and online channels to foster interaction with their audiences.     Regular Programme and Administrative Supervision Conducted over Sitel TV, Kanal 5 TV, Telma TV, Alsat-M TV and Alfa TV Skopje, 25 February 2019 – In line with the Annual Supervision Plans for 2019, a regular programme and administrative supervision was conducted over the national television stations of Sitel, Kanal 5, telma, Alsat-M and Alfa. The programme supervision covered the rules for airing audio and audiovisual commercial communications, the rules for providing quizzes, the use of value-added telephone services and televoting, as well as airing lottery games. A violation was detected in the case of Kanal 5 TV, with regard to the rules for airing audio and audiovisual commercial communications and split screen advertising. The administrative supervision covered the obligations to air Impressums, information that should be made available to the users and the obligation to air the broadcaster’s identification sign. Telma TV and Kanal 5 TV were found in violation of the obligation to publish Impressums.     Macedonian Radio Television in Need of New Professional Standards Macedonian Radio Television in Need of New Professional Standards Dragan Sekulovski Introduction The functions of public service broadcasting in the Republic of North Macedonia (RNM) are performed by the Macedonian Radio Television (MRT)1 as stipulated in the Law on Audio- and Audio-Visual Media Services (LAAVMS). The Republic of North Macedonia is the founder of the MRT pursuant to the same Law and it operates as a public enterprise in accordance with the provision and conditions stipulated by law and the relevant implementing bylaws. According to applicable legislation the MRT is a public broadcasting service that operates independently of any government body, other public legal entities or business undertakings and must pursue an impartial editorial and business policy. 7KH057KDVWKHWDVNRISURGXFLQJDQGEURDGFDVWLQJFRQWHQWLQWKHȴHOGVRI information, education, science, culture and art, documentary and feature programmes, and music and entertainment content in Macedonian and in the languages of other non-majority communities. The MRT is also required to produce content for people with disabilities and special needs (news and special programmes for viewers with impaired hearing). Through radio and TV satellite and/or via the internet, the MRT broadcasts 24-hour content that LVDYDLODEOHWRYLHZHUVDQGOLVWHQHUVLQ(XURSHDQGEH\RQG7KHDɝUPDWLRQ and nurturing of traditions, the spiritual and cultural heritage and values of all ethnic communities, as well as the preservation of the cultural and national identity are part of the essential mission of the MRT.
