La colaboración de la JONDE con Baluarte en el verano de 2014 fue tan grata, cordial y enriquecedora, que cuando se nos propuso volver a realizar un encuentro no tuvimos la menor duda en aceptarlo sin reservas. Aparte de la plena disponibilidad de los espacios, como tuve ocasión de La Joven Orquesta decir públicamente en la rueda de Nacional de España prensa que se celebró unos días an- tes del primer concierto, nunca —en regresa a Baluarte los ya casi quince años que llevo al frente de la dirección artística de la JONDE— había visto un despliegue mediático similar al que Baluarte se encargó de coordinar. Hubo días en que llegué a mantener hasta tres entrevistas seguidas con diversos medios (prensa escrita, radio, televisión), lo que sin duda contribuyó a que Pamplona tomara con- ciencia de la presencia de la orquesta —los propios mú- sicos, sin duda, contribuyeron también a ello— y a la di- fusión de la actividad en todas sus fases: la de prepara- ción en ensayos seccionales a cargo de profesores de las diversas especialidades instrumentales; la de los ensa- yos de conjunto con el director invitado —el alemán Lutz Köhler en aquella ocasión—; y por último la celebración del primer concierto de la gira. Esta vez la JONDE cuenta con un maestro excepcional, el libanés George Pehliva- nian, cuya energía en el podio deja pequeña a la que los 105 jóvenes músicos poseen de forma innata, y servirá de magnífico soporte para que otro joven solista —y exin- tegrante de la orquesta—, el trompeta Manuel Blanco, brinde la que con toda seguridad será una excelente ver- sión del Concierto de Arutiunian. Als muzikaal talent via de genen wordt meegegeven, kreeg Rachmaninov het zijne via zijn grootvader. Zijn droom om een imponerende symfonie te schrijven, wilde echter niet meteen lukken.
