Here, in the village of Jukkasjärvi, Northern , the nature is untouched with about six thousand lakes and six grand rivers. One of the rivers is Torne River, which supplies ICEHOTEL with enough to build an entire – every year. The name Jukkasjärvi derives from a Sami word, meaning meeting place.
