The The Hotel

The story of Ice Hotel starts in 1989, when it became the world’s first and largest hotel made of ice and . It’s also ’s most unique and probably most extensive private art hall. Each year it’s reincarnated in a new guise, carefully designed and hand crafted by some 40 artists from around the world. Cold Warm

Each is individually themed and hand carved by artists commissioned from around the world and a wide range of disciplines. Spending a night in Ice hotel is a surreal experience and a memory for life and in the morning you are awakened with a cup of hot lingonberry juice at your bedside. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable with a calm feel. Natural materials are complemented by organic shades of white, grey and brown. Northern Lights Safari

The best place to see it is in the wilderness, away from artificial light and the snowmobile is a great way to get around. Our guide explains how the northern lights appear, what causes it and the folklore around the phenomenon. We will be making a few stops to take pictures, so bring your camera! A cosy dinner at a wilderness camp is included. Activities

Ice Sculpting

Explore the magical world of ice sculpting for yourself with this introductory class. Working with your hands completely absorbs you, relaxing and intense at once. The guide begins the class by giving you some background about working with ice, and an introduction to the tools.

Each sculptor apprentice is then given a block and chisel and off you go! Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at the Fly to (either direct on our exclusive charter from Heathrow) and transfer to Jukkasjarvi. Check in at the Icehotel for a 3 or 4 night stay and join a guided tour.

Days 2-3/4: Time at leisure Spend your time as you choose, enjoying optional activities, such as ice sculpting, husky sledding, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing, or treat yourself to a sauna ritual or starlit dinner.
