A message from the Vice Chancellor

Welcome to Leeds Beckett and thank you for your interest in our university. We are a world-class university, featured in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019. Since the early 19th century, we have been successfully combining an academic education with its practical application. We continue to collaborate with thousands of regional, national and international businesses to ensure our research and courses are contemporary, rich and relevant; they meet the needs of our students and their present or future employers. We believe this is why 95% of all our UK graduates are in work or further study six months after graduating*. Our ambitions for the future are demonstrated by a significant investment in our academic facilities, with two major developments due for completion, one in winter 2019/20 and the other in autumn/ winter 2020. These outstanding new buildings will enhance our creative and sport provision and provide expansion space for many of our academic schools, further strengthening our teaching and research activities across a range of subject areas. We recognise that academic success is a partnership between teachers and learners. I hope that what you discover about our courses and our academic approach provides you with the confidence to join us and combine your ambition with ours. If you would like to know more about us, please follow the links to more detailed information on our website. And don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We’ll be pleased to talk.
